Vayikra 2012
This week we start an exciting journey into the 3rd book of the Torah Leviticus or Vayikra! This is the center or heart of the 5 books of Torah and it teaches us how to touch the heart of the Father! The portion Vayikra/And He Called covers Leviticus 1:1-6:7 and is a very significant portion that deals with the 5 types of offerings/sacrifices, something that for the most part we have not understood as believers. Having been content in the past to keep it tucked back here in the Old Testament, but yet these are things that are about to once again come to the front and center in the last days! Both the name of this Torah portion and this book of the Torah is Vayikra; with names being important and carrying within them prophetical declarations, it behooves us to look into the meaning of this term! Leviticus 1:1 And Yahweh called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying Called: Strongs #7121 qara to call, call out, recite, read, cry out, or proclaim; connected to #7122 qara to encounter, befall, meet being called in order to encounter or meet something! *2 letter root of qara = cool, refers to cold refreshing water that soothes the soul, used in Jeremiah 18:13-15 Forgotten: Strongs #7911 shakach to forget, ignore, to wither; this connects us right back into the portion because the gematria of Vayikra = 317, same value as yabeshah to make dry, wither, become dry (a term often used to describe waters being dried up/cut off seed/Word being cut off) Because in the past we have chosen to forget and forsake Yahweh, we became withered and dried up, having no Seed/Word our waters cut off, but now we find ourselves being called to, summoned, by Yahweh to encounter and meet and partake of the cool refreshing waters of the Torah/the Word of Yahweh again! We left the ancient paths: Strongs #7635 shabiyl way, path (*Used only in this verse and in Psalm 77:19 Thy way [is] in the sea, and thy path/shabiyl in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.); 3 letter root captivity, captives (we put ourselves into captivity by leaving the ancient paths) From #7640 shebel flowing skirt, train; spelled with the same letters as #3847 labash to dress, wear, clothe, put on clothing, be clothed; metaphorically this term is also used to refer to a wife! Gematria = 332, same as the verse Psalm 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in Yahweh. Also the same value as chodesh haaviv the month of Aviv! The 1st month of the year and the time of Passover! The Bride left the ancient paths of Yahweh (these paths are connected to His calendar/Feasts!) causing herself to be put into captivity, but the offering of the sacrifices will cause her to put her trust again in Yahweh! 1

Leviticus 1:1 And Yahweh called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying Congregation: Strongs #4150 mowed appointed place, appointed time, meeting, set feast (*Another connection to the Calendar!); from #3259 yaad to fix, appoint, assemble, meet, set, betroth What does the Calendar/Feasts have to do with the sacrifices and this Torah portion? Gematria of Vayikra = 317, same value as hachodesh the month, the new moon; from #2318 chadash to be new, renew, repair, also has the meaning to polish a sword, cutting or polishing The restoration of the proper Calendar/Feasts will renew and repair the Bride that is being called (vayikra) to polish the sword! In other words, shes about to go into battle and the proper preparations deal with the Feasts of Yahweh! *In order to understand these connections we go back to the numbers. The gematria of qara ( root of Vayikra) = 301, same value as Menorah ( light, fire, flame), remember that the root of qara = cool, as in cool water a cloud is a large collection of very tiny droplets of water. So we have the fire and the cloud/water! Exodus 13:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people. Pillar: Strongs #5982 ammuwd pillar, column; from #5975 amad to stand, remain, endure, take ones stand, to make a stand or hold ones ground; also in its passive form it means to be presented (of a sacrifice) before Yahweh Pillar/ammuwd is spelled with the same letters as mowed/appointed time

*The feasts act as the pillar of cloud and fire that will lead the Bride in the days ahead, just as the pillar led the children of Israel upon the first Exodus, and if she follows it (the pillar/Feasts) she will make her stand and hold her ground! Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Think: Strongs #5452 cebar to think, intend; gematria = 262, same as Strongs #4345 makber grating, lattice work, refers to the cover/grating on the bronze altar, the altar of sacrifice! Now, lets look and see what the connections are between these offerings spoken of here and the Brides being led into battle via the Feasts! Leviticus 1:2 Offering: Strongs #7133 qorban offering, oblation; the 3 letter root forms the term (#7128) qerab war, battle

Cattle: Strongs #929 behemah beast, cattle, animal; from an unused root meaning to be mute; 3 letter root of behemah = 3991#( hamah) to growl, roar, be loud, cry aloud Herd: Strongs #1241 baqar cattle, herd, oxen, ox; cognate of #1069 bakar firstborn, to be born first Flock: Strongs #6629 tson small cattle, sheep, goats, flocks; connect to Zion Tsiyown translated as meaning parched place or place of dryness The bringing of the sacrifices was to teach us and prepare us for war/battle, causing us to be changed from one who was mute and in a dry parched place, to one who would roar/have a war cry as we were reunited with the living waters of Torah! And this battle is specifically dealing with the role of the firstborn! The firstborn was originally intended to be and called as the priests of Israel, but also there is one feast that especially is important to the firstborn!

Passover
*Earlier we noted that there was a connection via the numbers to the phrase Chodesh Haaviv the Month of Aviv, the time of Passover. Passover, which we are quickly approaching, is all about the redemption of the firstborn the war that takes place over the firstborn and it deals with the blood being applied (just like the sacrifices being brought to the altar)! Since the feasts lead us in battle, lets take a closer look at Passover. Passover: Strongs #6453 Pecach Passover; gematria = 148, same as #5329 natsach victory, to excel, be enduring, be bright, be preeminent, translated as meaning Chief Musician throughout the Psalms, referring to the Temple Worship Leader There is an intricate connection worship and warfare! 2 Chronicles 20:21, 22 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto Yahweh, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise Yahweh; for his mercy [endureth] for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise, Yahweh set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. Smitten: Strongs #5062 nagaph to strike, smite, same term used in Exodus 12:23 concerning how Yahweh would smite the Egyptians but those with the blood upon their doorposts would be passed over! We are promised the victory if we will worship Him and proclaim His praises/Torah in the proper manner (Calendar/Feasts and the altar sacrifices/Temple service teach us just that the proper manner to worship Yahweh, once again walking the ancient paths). Our enemies will be smitten, but we shall be redeemed and passed over during the upcoming battle! *Notice that the blood upon the doorposts in Egypt and the singing in Chronicles brought about the same result their enemies being smitten! In our previous studies, weve looked

at how blood is light congealed, or slowed down.as well as the fact that sound is light slowed down! Each one is connected to the light of Yahweh bursting forth! We connected bringing the offerings with having the roar/war cry restored to the Bride earlier. Its no accident that singing does the same many neuroscientists believe that singing can have a physical healing effect. A process known as Melodic Intonation Therapy is used when stroke victims have lost the power of speech, yet are able to recover the ability to communicate through singing. *To see the connection in the Scriptures between the role of the feasts and the worship/singing: 2 Chronicles 30:21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised Yahweh day by day, [singing] with loud instruments unto Yahweh. Amos 5:21-24 When we dont keep the Feasts properly its then that we find ourselves in captivity and once again with the living water (parched, dry, and withered)! *In connection with celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot, Zechariah 14:17 And it shall be, [that] whoso will not come up of [all] the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. Exodus 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; [with] your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it [is] Yahwehs passover. Girded: Strongs #2296 chagar to gird, gird oneself, put on a belt; its the root of #2290 chagowr girdle, belt, armour; translated as aprons in Genesis 3:7 when Adam & Eve sew fig leaves together to cover themselves. *They place on armour (chagowr), preparing for the battle that now looms, but they missed a divine appointment/mowed, hiding themselves instead from Yahweh, and they didnt have the proper covering of light (nor the blood atonement) that would keep them from being smitten in the battle. So having departed the ancient paths, we go into captivity! But when the children of Israel honored the Passover in Egypt, they were victorious in the battle led out of their captivity by the mighty hand of Yahweh! In Joshua 5, the children of Israel again keep the Passover, directly after they are victorious in battle against Jericho, and another form of captivity was broken! Joshua 5:9 And Yahweh said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day. Reproach: Strongs #2781 cherpah reproach, scorn; from #2778 charaph 1) to reproach, taunt, blaspheme, defy 2) to betroth, be acquired In other words, He rolled away our defiance that we showed in Egypt towards walking His ancient paths and now betroths unto Himself a bride bought with a price! In Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, and John 13, the Passover is kept with the understanding restored and directly after the war is won as Yahshua becomes the Passover lamb and offers the blood covering needed for His Bride to be passed over and redeemed!

Once again when the Passover is understood by the Bride and she follows it just like the pillar of fire/cloud, it will once again mark the ending of bondage/captivity and a redeeming! Some of the descriptions that we are given of this individual who will be set free are: Proverbs 31:17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. Arms: Strongs #2220 zerowa arm, shoulder, strength, refers to the shankbone of the lamb found on the Seder plate at Passover Songs 6:10 Who [is] she [that] looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, [and] terrible as [an army] with banners? Banners: Strongs #1713 dagal to look, behold, to carry a banner or standard, to cover or to cover over; = door & 2 = letter root of Gilgal and Golgotha! Gematria = 37, same as #3851 lahab flame, blade. *The warrior Bride led into battle as if an army with banners with the flashing blade of the sword of the Torah is the same one who accepted the covering of blood for her door (Pesach) with her loins girded and had the ties/captivity of Egypt rolled away from her! She has answered the call to assemble at the Tent of the Mowed and has had her voice restored!
