Approaches to teach reading and vocabulary Reading matter mini library should be created in class (covers the students' proficiency & interest) encourage students to go to the school library & local library Reading method individually , group play reading , sitting beside a pupil & ask him/her to read, reading around the class Comprehension * Context (in class -mixed ability, therefore, the context should relate to their proficiency)

Understand the sound and spelling system.
