PREFACE
In present age, there is cut throat competition in the business world among different industrial units. To face the situation of competition, the industry needs expert managers in different fields. They should able to run the org. successfully in competitive world. Hence to provide the perfect knowledge regarding the different managerial activities, B.B.A. programmed is must. This programmed gives perfect knowledge to become perfect manager.

Moreover in modern world practical knowledge has given more importance than theoretical knowledge enables the students to get some experience of management affairs of course, theoretical knowledge is essential as a sound base. As a part of my industrial trial training I have taken industrial visit at VIKAS STOVE PVT. LTD. situated at shaper veraval for 10 days. I have collected various information from various departments.

BLOSSOM APPLINCES Within a span of 12 years, the company is regarded as one of the leading manufactures of kerosene wick stove and home appliances with a wide range of mixers grinders, juicers, water filters, toasters, electric ceiling fans, gas lighters, pressure cookers. The Blossom kitchenware is the private Limited company. The BLOSSOM KITCHENWARE PVT. LTD. is the most reputed company. The VIKAS is the brand name of this company.

HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT

The Vikas Stove company established in the year 1990, by strong efforts of Mr. PANKAJBHAI RATHOD. When the unit was established before the 12 years it was in partnership firm, but then it became in private limited Before starting the owner had business of the chemical at the GONDAL for 3 to 4 years. Later on he switched over from the Chemical to this type of the industry. Then he thinks about the new business of the stove. The owner has chooser the stove business because, on that time the shortage of the gas as well as for the burning point of the wooden cutting is not efficient for the nature. So only once good way is kerosene stove. And the reason id that the middle class person uses easily this is one reason of them, so he had started this business. At present the proprietor can successfully running the business of stove. Previously the organization was manufacturing three types of the stove but today it is produces 13 types of stove, which shows the development of the unit and bright future in the years to become.

Production means creation of utilities and covers all the activities of procurement, allocation and utilization of resources such as labour, energy, materials, equipments, machinery, etc. production management involving planning, organizing, directing and controlling the production function or production system. Production management is the process of effectively programming co-ordinating and controlling production.

1 Deep drawing machine: This machine is use for give shape of the metal sheet at means that which dies we are put in this machine. The result is likely it dies means it cut or shaped the metal sheet like dies.

Surfers grinder machine: This machine is useful for the grinder work. In the unit this machine is also can grinder of the stove parts.

Drill machine: The use of this machine is to make the hole. So it called as a drill machine. It make hole in the metal sheet according to our need we can.

Shearing machine: This machine is use for the cut the metal sheet as per the use or need.

Exeo machine: Use of this machine is cutting things. This machine is cut the pipe of the iron.

Tank sealing machine: The machine is very useful. This type of machine is a joint according to his name. It joints the tank and cover of the stove.

The work of machine is according to his name. By the hand can press and get the part according to dies.

Compressor: Through compressor can compress the air. So use of this machine is to do spray colour of the parts of stove.

Blister packing machine: Use of the machine makes the plastic packing. So the workers can the packing of stove in plastic by this machine.

PRODUCTION PROCESS
TANK: They make the tank from C R C steel sheet and shaped it according to the dies then they cut the addition steel sheet Now they make and embossed the upper body of the tank then they make the five whole upper side of the tank. Then they fit the fuel cap of the kerosene. 24

Now they joint the upper part of the tank and lower part of the tank, and they fit the fuel container in the tank. Now tank is completed which we can show in the photograph as given below.

BURNER: Now process will be start for the wick. They cut the round shape of the steel sheet and embossed the now they make the fourteen hole in the plate out of fourteen hole four hole nut. They make the deject and make 10 hole in it. After it they make 10 round pipe and welding it with the plate and deject. Now the Round pipe of the wick is jointed with the wick controller then through the fly nut joint the burner and tank.

STAND: Firstly they round strips then they make three pillars of stand and joint two round strips with Three pillars. Then they put under the stand three pillars guard.

CYLINDER: -

They cut the steel sheet according to maser then they make many small holes in it and then band round it and put on it cap which has one small hole and joint it.

OUTER CYLINDER:

They cut the steel sheet according to maser then make the many small holes on it like inner cylinder and embossed two side of it. Outer cylinder is ready.

TOP PLATE: Now they cut the steel sheet for the plate of the stove out of the coil then they embossed them and cut the big round in the middle. They make cookware through pressing sheet and make support of the plate and joint three-cookware support with the top plate.

DRUM: For the drum manufacturing they cut the manually plate and round them as well as embossed them.

Financial management is regarded as life blood for any organization. Financial management deals with acquisition of the funds and effective utilization of this available funds. It must be clearly stated that financial management has under gone some changes in last few decades. Even the role of financial manager is quite an important in any organization. He is the person who doesnt know only how to raise the fund but how to utilize it optimally. He is the destiny write for any organization. In todays world human force cannot be considered as just employees or workers. A company can get the best possible results by managing this source of power in an effective manner. The main aim of personnel mgt. is to maintain smooth relationship between employers and employees. Vikas Stove has given due importance to personnel department. The progress and development of this company is tremendous and credit for that goes to very well maintained manpower mgt. All the employees are quite satisfied with the kind of work they have and so there are no complaints on the part of workers. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT


Once in a year training is given to the workers. This is given on the all India level with only difference in language under All India Workers Education Scheme. It was actually started 52

in Baroda on 10th September 1996 and then in Headband in 1997. During this training period, workers are given information regarding provident fund, bonus, gratuity and other rights. Human resource is most important resource of all the resources. So if this resource is sound and strong. It ultimately leads to higher productivity of the organization.

In the Vikas Stove have no separate department for training. They give the training through senior employee. The superior knows the new employee about work..

WAGES AND SALARY


The basic purpose of wage and salary administration is to establish and maintain an equitable wage and salary structure. Its secondary objective is the establishment and maintenance 53

of an equitable labour structure. It is concerned with financial aspects of needs motivation and rewards. Proper and regular wage and salary helps to avoid industrial disputes and decrease in productivity, in indirectly motivates the workers and increases his efficiency. In Vikas Stove the finance department handles wage and salary affairs. The company gives the salary and wage daily, weekly and monthly. It has also allowance the petroline the daily wage generally is Rs. 150 to 200. This company gives the increment system. They give the increment or bonus on the basis of the profit and performance of the employees. The company gives the bonus on the festivals.

PERSONNEL POLICY
These are general statements, which guide thinking and action in decision making. In the personnel policy there are certain rules and regulation about the job as well as his management. 54

Formal process of the recruitment is adopted required employees and appointed as and when required. Training and development, compensation and discipline were handled by number of supervisors throughout the organization as they saw them. VIKAS STOVE has a written personnel policy. By their policy they can ensure uniformity and consistency of administration. The personnel policy of unit is very good. By this policy we can see the overall picture of the unit.

The company gives quarter with basic facilities like electricity and water to their employees. The company has about it quarter attached with the company the workers live there with their family without paying rent.

The company has not canteen of their own but it has a contract with other canteen

owner, which provide two-time tea to all workers and breakfast at the time of overtime.

It is compulsory for the workers to invest 8.33% of his salary into P.F. scheme

The future plan of the company is diversification of the industry for house appliances such as mixture, grinder, blender, juicer, water filter, non-stick, iron, toaster and ceiling fan, chillycutter and other cattery items.

And they are going to manufacture a china shape model which will be the Indias first manufacturing product which is not firstly prepared by anybody. They are going to manufacture a new model of stove whose tank will be square shaped. The product will be made from the same plant only negligible machinery should be bought.

For future expansion and development of the unit. I would like to give certain points to under take. The unit should try to give best service after sales and improve more and more quality of stove. Also should try taking minimum price of product to customer. They should try to appoint more authorize dealer. They should try to give an effective and more advertisement in the best manner, so that they can more sales and get more profit.

The experience of visiting the business unit was quite good. I learnt many new aspects that I could not have learnt otherwise. The visit helped me to broaden the horizon of my practical knowledge. Blossom Kitchenware is very efficiently and effectively developed unit and is progressing day by day. While studying the production department of the company, it can be known that the company always tries to provide best quality product to their customers.

The personnel and marketing department are also effectively organized. The channels of distribution are organized in such a way so that it can get a sufficient market. The financial position of the company is also strong and it has enough sources of funds.
