Your Letters of Appreciation Mean So Much...

continues our MONTHLY BOOK CLUB DISCUSSION GROUP on Monday, April 23rd, at 2 pm.

We will be discussing NY Times Bestselling author Jodie Picoults novel, My Sisters Keeper. My Sisters Keeper examines what it means to be a good parent, a good sister, a good person. Is it morally correct to do whatever it takes to save a childs life, even if that means infringing upon the rights of another?

Register in the office and receive a library copy of this New York Times Bestseller for advance reading. See what everybody has been reading and join in the discussion!

PLEASE COME TO THE OFFICE DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL TO UPDATE YOUR FILE! THANKS! April 22 is EARTH DAY

On April 22, 1970, 20 million people across America celebrated the first Earth Day. It was a time when cities were buried under their own smog and polluted rivers caught fire. Now Earth Day is celebrated annually around the globe. Through the combined efforts of the U.S. government, grassroots organizations, and citizens like you, what started as a day of national environmental recognition has evolved into a world-wide campaign to protect our global environment.

Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to watch a TV for three hours it is

equivalent to half a gallon of gasoline. We each use about 12,000 gallons of water every year More than 1/3 of all energy is used by people at home That recycling just one glass bottle saves enough energy to keep a 100-watt light bulb lit for hours Most families throw away about 88 pounds of plastic every year Things we can do on Earth Day and everyday to conserve energy

Turn off the lights when not using or when leaving the room Use compact fluorescent light bulbs. This will also save you money in long run! Use reusable bags when shopping Use less plastic bottles or pledge to buy no disposable bottles for a month, a year or more!
