SBL 2183: Planting Technology 1 ________________________________________________

Assignment 1 (Group Work) Marks: 15%

You are to work in a group of 3 persons. Each person should participate and contribute positively in this assignment. 1. Make a literature search on the topic given- provide the definition, main concepts, explain the use of plants in a specific planting design or requirements and provide examples through reference studies. (Quote all your references and source of materials used in your assignment according to the APA Format) http://www.liu.edu/CWIS/CWP/library/workshop/citapa.htm 2. Use images and sketches to illustrate your points and understanding of the subject matter or content knowledge. 3. Any kind of 3D model or materials can also be used to explain your work. 4. There will also be an oral Powerpoint presentation. Fifteen (15) minutes will be allocated whereby 10 minutes is for the verbal presentation and 5 minutes on discussion. Use your creativity to make your presentation interesting and vibrant. 5. Your submission for this assignment should be in the form of 4 A3 Boards and an e-submission (CD) of your power point presentation and boards presentation. The boards should be submitted in Week 4. The presentation will start in week 5 and 6. Some works ranging from the best to the worst will be retained by the Department for Quality Assurance Auditing. The rest of the boards will be given back in week 6 after all presentations and assessments are done.
