Sights
Rifle m/96 has the sight graded for distances 300-600m. The sight is used with the frame folded down. The sight is adjusted through moving the sight runner on the frame. the sight runner is locked in position by the sight runner lock. Rifle m/38(B) has three different types of sights: 1. The same as for rifle m/96(B) but with an SM sight in the sight frame. The sight can be adjusted fffor 250-600m and is graded for the blunt nose bullet. The sight notch is U-shaped. 2. Sight with T-marked frame. The sight can be adjusted 150-600m and is graded for spitzer bullets. It has a U-notch. 3. sight with a rectangular notch. The sight can be adjusted 100-600m and is graded for blunt-nose bullets.

The post and post base has a mark on the front. Usually the marks should be next to each other when the rifle is sighted in. Is the rifle not sighted in you should correct that by choosing another point of aim. If sideway adjustment is needed move the post sideways. If the rifle shoots to the right(left) you move the post to the right(left). Moving the post 1mm means an adjustment of 150,300 and 450 mm for 100, 200 and 300 m distance respectively.
