Statement of mission, Goal and objectives.

Mission statement: The purpose of our partnership business is to serve Mountains of the Moon University society with good quality products and services at affordable costs at Saaka campus.

Goal: To maximize profits and serve a large market share both in medium and long run period.

Objectives: The business is targeting to meet the following objectives within one to two years. These include; To increase the sales of our business products and services. To increase on the productivity of machines and employees. To have a self sustaining business that can meet its operations costs. To have a continuous supply of goods and service without any delays for our customers.

Description of the partnership. The partnership is expected to be located at mountains of the moon university, Lake Saaka
campus- North west of Fort portal town, West Division sub county- Kabarole district, 7Km away from town. Its name will be, Saaka United stationary shop. The business will serve the students and the management of Mountains of the Moon University and neighboring society with good quality products and services at affordable prices for most of the consumers and people around the area. Basing on the market survey carried out, the partnership will be different from others, in a way that it will provide or serve what the customers want. In other words, it will aim at satisfying customers in terms of quality, quantity, and be reliable and take them to where they want them. The business will be conducted in rental premises at start as we plan to put up ours in five years to come. The partnership will involve five partners at start and these include:, Cosmas Nzimenya, Nyamata Irene, Bazatoha Josian, Turyasingura Ivan and Mutegeki Daniel.

The products and services the business will offer include: Reams of papers Manila papers Books and envelopes Pens and dusters Pencils and rubbers Markers of all colors and phone services Rulers and mathematical sets

Typing and printing Photocopying and scanning services Stapling machines Punching machines and mathematical sets Computer training services like Microsoft word and excel programs Calculators and Chalk Internet services. Success cards and Valentines card Markers and Writing pads Other goods offered include, refreshments like sodas, splashes, water, Eats like biscuits, sweets, cakes, airtime, apples, and biscuits.

UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION (USP) FOR UNITED SAAKA STATIONARY SHOP. The goods we shall offer differ from those of our competitors in the following ways; We hope to offer after sales service like transporting customers goods who buy in large quantities and packages. We shall issue receipts in order to avoid inconvinies. We hope most of our products to price tags to ensure customers that there is no price discrimination among our customers in our business. We shall offer credit facilities to our daily customers. We shall offer discounts for customers who buy in large quantiti4es. We shall have comfortable resting seats, television and current news papers to entertain our customers.

INDUSTRY ANALYSIS. The business has some competitors and they offer homogeneous products and services. They are mainly located on the same lake Saaka campus. They all operate in the same business; the technology used is the same. Through market research, we found out that our competitors have the following strength: They already know what customers and clients need and want. They already have established premises. They produce some good quality products and services. The competitors have many customers since have been in operation for some time.

Despite the competitors strength, there have been some identified weaknesses: Their marketing skills are below averages. Have a weak distribution image. Have only one product line. They are unable to finance the needed marketing changes. They operate in unclean environment.

They have strict orders like order with cash, goods once sold are not returnable, no offering credits even to the daily customers.

NEW PRODUCTS/ SERVICES IN INDUSTRY The new products and services are business cards production, online studies and computer training. This will increase the clients to the industry and enable many clients who have an access to all these products and services to utilize them fully there by contributing to their standards of living.

THE TECHNOLOGY IN INDUSTRY This is essentially by use of computers for example photocopying machines, scanners, computers themselves, printers, paper cutters, binding machines among others. Other information in the industry includes; Risk analysis. In our business, we anticipate some risks like bad debtors, competition, inflation, thieves, floods, earth quake and fire. These risks if not managed well, they can either reduce the performance of the business or lead to its downfall, however, these risks can minimized in the following ways; We shall give credits only to trusted customers to avoid bad debts For security purpose against thieves, we shall use tactics as; employing local security guards, using metallic doors and making a thick fence around our business. In case of competition, we shall apply our unique selling proposition to out compete the competitors, in the industry. For the risk of inflation, we shall get reliable suppliers and also stock enough products and services especially, when there are expectations in price increase. For the case floods and earthquakes we shall insure our business in case of the risk. Fire will be prevented by fire extinguishers.

MERCHANDISE PLAN We shall be purchasing our products from the following suppliers; Refreshment products like sodas and mineral water will be purchased from fort portal deport located along Kaboyo road and their distributers. For splashes, biscuits, apples, sweets among other will be bought from different whole sellers shop with in Fort portal town. Mugasa and Sons will be supply us with computers, printers, photocopying machines, fleshes and the materials attached to the stationery. Other products like black books, pens, paper reams, pencils, file bags, among others will be bought from Uganda book shop located at Ben Kiwanuka Street.

OUR CONTROL SYSTEM; The control system, which we are going to use in our business is FIFO, (first in first out) . This will be done by selling the old stock then followed by the newly bought one. On the side of customers, we shall apply this system by the order of first come first serve. This system will help us not to over stay in the stock which will be damaged, expired and loose value. This will help us maintain our customers.

We shall store our products through the following ways; After buying we shall always check our products to see if they are in good condition. Any product that will be in unnecessary condition will be retained to suppliers for replacement if the goods have damaged from their premises. Secondly, we shall be arranging our products in the way that pleases and attract customers in order for them to purchase quickly. We shall also make sure that no product misses in the shelves where the customer last found it. We shall be taking records of all new coming stock into the business and also the records of sold stock in order to determine the remaining stock. This will help us in balancing our stock. Then lastly, we shall keep our stock for proper condition. Any bad and expired stock will be removed in order to have good quality and quantity products

MARKETING PLAN Our target market being Mountains of the Moon University population, we shall aim at supplying them in respect to their needs. According to our market survey, and having analyzed their needs, the following are potential products and services we shall be supplying them. Products include; Reams of papers and manila papers Pens, books and pencils Punching and stapling machines Different kinds of cards Long rulers and mathematical sets Biscuits, splashes, sweets, sodas among others. Services include; Photo copying , typing , printing and binding Internet services Phone services and airtime selling Computer training

Having known our target population, our distribution process will be as follows; Our customers will be buying products and getting services from our location at Mountains of the Moon university lake Saaka campus and these will essentially be Mountains of the Moon students. We shall have some sales agents who will be passing some commodities round selling to the students and as time goes we shall be opening up a branch at Kabundaire campus to where our products shall be transported to fill the market gap at Kabundaire campus.

THE PRICING STRATEGIES

THE SUPPLIERS REQUIRED: THE SERVICES TO BE DELIVERED: Computer training, Internet services, printing, photo copying and scanning. In our production are aiming at good quality products and services. Stock Management will emphasize proper inventory balances-
