Readings of Correspondence A. Old Business A. Jessie Otitigbe wasnt able to meet with us today. Follow up has been rescheduled to April 9th, next Monday. She will tell us where it is.

B. Personal Video Chelsea has reached out to student who is doing a film for end of semester project. RPI TV has already agreed to help us with this, so unless this is the same person/organization, it would be preferred to keep working with RPI TV. C. Day of Silence some images were uploaded to drop box. All of them will be uploaded soon. a. Geoff went into Union Events calendar and listed it as an event for us b. Add will be created this week by Geoff and put up on Concerto and our website. c. Jabari is meeting with IFC and PanHel tonight, and will update them New Business A. Greek Safe Zone would prefer to have a non student be the one presenting for the sake of knowledge transference from year to year. It would be good to have a few Greek alumni, administrators, or faculty who could volunteer and man this. We should try to establish a list of potential individuals that might be able to fill this roll. a. ei. Randi Mogul, Dean Hunt, various individuals from the Alumni Relations Office B. Congrats to Eric who was appointed to the Advisor Board of the Chief Information Officer, Dr. Kolb. C. Greek Safe Zone Ally program lets try to get an estimate on how long it will still take to finish. Maybe a couple weeks out? Currently not scripted, nor timed. It is preferred that it is written into Officer Policies of Greek Spectrum and RPA so that there is a responsibility to have it updated every year 3. LGBT Alumni Group Organization a. Create one! Peter Pedone oversees social affinity programs within the Office of Alumni Relations and can be contacted about setting this up. 4. Crisis Fund

a. A fund that can assist students who are compromised by coming out to their parents. b. We should speak with Financial Aid to check if they allow for students who are disowned financially by their parents for coming out can qualify for this. Also, we should advertise this more. 5. STEM Groups a. There are LGBT associated STEM groups out there, see below under Queer Sciences for more information 6. Career Interests a. There are tech companies out there that want to recruit LGBT students! We should work with the job fair groups to contact the attending companies and ask them if they are LGBT friendly companies, and then advertise that to our constituents. 7. Administration a. A school should never make students responsible for ensuring that they have a safe living environment so that they can pursue an education. They owe us a lot for doing this as a student group, and should at least help fund our organization to ensure its effectiveness. Why not have the Administration fund a student to go to Camp Pride? F. 5 College Queer, Sexuality, and Gender Conference a. Being an activist is hard! i. Being lighthearted is a way to help you stay happy, however its not an excuse to get away with inappropriate things b. Queer Sciences i. NOGLSTP national organization for gay and lesbian science and technology professionals, along with a whole bunch of other professional organizations that are affinity groups. These minority oriented groups do exist within your

profession! These are greatly helpful for getting job placement and informal/formal mentorship. 1. So, look at your professional societies and see if there is anything geared towards LGBT alliances
