3. All the members who have not completed the membership process with the CRA were requested to pay the balance membership fees at the earliest 4. There was detailed discussion about the PPL license fees and how can the CRA as an association help members deal with this. It was suggested by Dr. Amol Goje, that Shri Vishwas Thakur, Shri Pankaj athawale and Shri Navin Chandra take this matter with PPL on behalf of all the west zone members. They were requested to make the necessary correspondences and coax the PPL to provide songs free to all the CRSs as we all are running non commercial radios. 5. Dr. Amol Goje and Shri Vishwas Thakur also suggested that the CRA set up a mechanism to market local songs and musical content that are being generated by individual radio stations. This will be a possible additional source of revenue for all.

6. It was suggested by Shri Pankaj Athawale that a common ad rate should be decided so that clients can be given packages for all radio stations in the west zone for advertisements. Each individual radio station can still sell its inventory but if there are possibilities of common ads then it was decided that a rate of 75/- per 10 sec per station should be a good one to start with. All members suggested that we should start with this rate and in the time to come, it can be revised as per the revenue being generated 7. It was also agreed by all the members that in order to set up a corpus fund for the west zone, 10% of revenue generated via common ad campaigns should be set aside. It was requested to the treasurer that a bank account be opened at the VISHWAS NAGARI SAHAKARI Bank,Nashik and the process to be taken forward. 8. Also with reference to above, it is to be decided whether details like PAN, service tax no etc would be required and it was suggested to the secretary that the CRA be consulted on the same. 9. Dr sreedhar also introduced Mrs Archana Deshmukh from YCMOU to all the members. Mrs Deshmukh suggested that the CRS should should come together and utilizes content and material from YCMOU and broadcast it for the community. Dr. Amol Goje also suggested that the CRSs can also be converted into study centers of YCMOU in Maharashtra. It was suggested that a combined proposal be given to YCMOU for a common radio project so that the programs can be relayed all over and the commercial output be shared amongst all the members with a 10% corpus contribution towards the west zone CRA. 10. Shri Pankaj Athawale suggested that all members create a mechanism at their end to provide broadcasting certificates, RO etc if and when the ads are released to them, a common proforma of the same will be circulated amongst all the members. 11. Also it was brought to the notice to all members that an agency commission of 15% is also normally given to the agency which brings in ads to the radio stations. 12. It was suggested by Ms Aarti Kakkar, jago Mumbai that a group mail to be created on gmail so that all the west zone members can communicate more efficiently. 13. It was suggested that all members make common promos of the CRA and the west zone so that there can be cross publicity of all CRSs across regions 14. It was suggested that the west zone members should meet once at least quarterly and an annual workshop be held for 2-3 days at a convenient location 15. At the start of the meeting, Dr Sreedhar informally shared the details of CRSs in Maharashtra which had all the permissions but were not yet functional. The number turned out to be 43. It was decided that the west zone contact them personally and get at least 50% of them on air by the end of the year.

16. It was also suggested that the west zone interact with various state government departments and get projects from the state government for all the members and generate revenue 17. Content sharing was also discussed. Many members felt that it was high time that we actually start sharing rather than just talk about it. Hence it was decided that a common topic be given monthly to all CRS in the west zone and each radio station will prepare 2 programs and circulate them. The theme for this month was 1st may-Maharashtra day. The deadline for all CRS to submit their programs is 25th April. The individual CRS have the right to play any of the programs produced commonly. 18. Suggestions were called from all members regarding a common ID card for working members from the CRA or the west zone or the Maharashtra chapter. 19. It was requested to the managing committee that certain basic requirements like stationary, letterheads, stamps etc be designed and get them approved for use for all communication for the west zone CRA. 20. Finally Shri Pankaj athawale suggested that the west zone take steps towards doing annual surveys of all west zone CRSs so that data can be complied and this will be useful for ad collection. Also it was suggested that all members should try and have 10hours of continous broadcast daily so that ad time (inventory) can be created for sale.

Finally Shri Vivek thakur proposed the vote of thanks and specially lauded the efforts of Shri Yuvaraj Jadhav (Station In-Charge) Vasundhara Vahini baramati for co-ordinating the west zone meet.
