support@new-vibrations.com how to increase the capacity by only increasing the num of CEs (no hardware) 1.

For adding CEs there's is two ways: - Licences activation if all the CEs are not enabled. - Add hardware 2.it is the short card action, some complaint still there because of you shrink of coverage handling, my opinion is for power congestion using PA Upgrade (from 20 to 40W), but if CE congestion you must upgrade the CE capacity or disable of PS 384 and reduce user of HSDPA. 3.You should take into account the total number of CEs allowed by your RNC licen se. So as somebody said before, you have two basic limitations: hardware capacit y (number and types of WBBP boards) and license capacity (total number of CE dis tributed along all the elements under this RNC). 4.There are 4 capacity resource in Node B 1. RF Capacity --> Power and Code 2. Baseband Capacity --> CE 3. Transport Capacity --> Iub 4. for HSDPA, you have HSDPA User Number Capacity.. 5.Power Capacity : If your PA is possible to be upgraded, then increase the PA, huawei WRFU /MRFU can be up to 80 W per PA Module, If not, splitting Cell or 2nd Carrier is the solution. Code Capacity : Code cannot be upgraded, you have to add more CC (Cell Carrier) with spl itting Cell or 2nd Carrier. But you have another solution instead of them : 1. If many HSDPA User compared than R99 User --> add HSDPA Code 2. If you have only 1 Carrier --> Using Dynamic Code Allocation 3. Disable some of unnecessary PS RAB (ie, disable PS 256 or 384) 6.Each RAB (CS12.2/CS64/PS64/128/256/384) has code allocation in OVSF Code Tree called as Spreading Factor (SF) CS 12.2 use SF 128 CS/PS 64 use SF 32 PS 128 use SF 16 PS 256 use SF 8 PS 384 use SF 8 1 SF8= 2xSF16=4xSF32=16xSF128 If you know about code clashes, then 1 PS 384 user occupation = 16 CS AMR users occupation, meaning that 16 CS AMR code cannot be used due to 1 PS 384 user. So, If you disable PS384, you give more space for other RABs
