Accomplishments:
As a teacher, one effective strategy to help my slow reader learner is to IV. VISION: The Grade Three Rizal pupils can read, write ad comprehend simple sentences and will become a good citizens in the future. generate usual images of what is being read, storytelling using big books, unlocking of difficult words, puzzles and encourage the pupils to make their valuable time in our mini library. I also MISSION: Use appropriate and modern teaching materials that suit to their level. Give them enough time to practice and master their skills. Provide a reading corner/mini-library inside the classroom. B. POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM 1. Poverty 2. Family Background A. BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM Most children begin reading and learn to write in the first grade. The present 49 pupils of grade three- Rizal are experiencing difficulties in reading comprehension. Some of them can read simple sentences but very poor in comprehension. They really need guidance to enhance their reading and writing possibilities. 3. Malnutrition 4. Lack of Parental Guidance 5. Insufficient reading materials at home encourage verbal interaction to make it possible for them to improve their communication skills.
