Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (functioned at Kashmere Gate till June, 1998) shifted to its, fully residential campus at Dwarka, New Delhi in July 1998. It was established in 1983 by Delhi Administration with the approval of the Govt. of India to meet the growing demand of manpower in high-tech areas of Engineering & Technology. The Institute has become autonomous since 1987. A. For Full Time M.Tech. Programme with scholarship: (Four Semester Programme of two year duration) i) A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication/Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions. OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam. with appropriate specialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi. ii) A candidate for admission to full time course must have qualified (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Gate Score.

B.

For Full time Sponsored M..Tech Programme without scholarship. (Four semester programme of two year duration)

i.) A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions. OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam. with appropriate specialization /Grad. I.E.T.E. (India) AMIE (London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi. The preference shall be given to those candidates who are GATE qualified. ii) The candidates must have minimum one years full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/ Educational and Research Institutes/ any Government Department Or Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. One year experience will be counted from the date of declaration of B.E. result. The candidates will be required to submit a No Objection Certificate from their employers. iii) A letter from the employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to get admission. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the completion of the course. Note: Sponsored candidate will not be eligible to receive scholarship even if they are admitted on the basis of GATE score. C. Part Time M.Tech. Programme (Six Semester Programme of three year duration)

i) A candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech. degree in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from the University of Delhi or equivalent from recognized University/ Institutions.

A candidate must have passed in the A.M.I. E.(India) Exam. with appropriate specialization /Grad. I.E.T.E.(India) AMIE(London) or any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.E. degree by the University of Delhi. ii) The candidates must have minimum one years full time work experience in a registered firm/company/Industry/ Educational and Research Institutes/ any Government Department Or Government Autonomous organizations in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. One year experience will be counted from the date of declaration of B.E. result. The candidates will be required to submit a No Objection Certificate from their employers. Note: No scholarship shall be available for part time M.Tech. programme students.

Age Requirement: A candidate should be atleast twenty one years of age before the first day of October 2012. However, the Vice-Chancellor on the basis of individual merit may relax the age up to a maximum period of one year. Procedure for admission: i. ii. iii. All candidates for admission to M.Tech. Programme must submit their applications to the Institute in the prescribed form as per the guidelines notified by the Institute. Full-Time sponsored and Part-Time candidates shall also be required to present themselves for a written test and interview before a Selection Committee. The final selection of the candidates shall be made by the Selection Committee on the basis of their performance at the qualifying examination test and interview as indicated below:

For Full Time Sponsored/ Part Time M.Tech Programme: Maximum Marks Qualifying Examination (Aggregate) 50% Test conducted by Institute 30% Interview/Viva-Voce 20% -------Total 100% Appearing in interview/ Viva- Voce is compulsory for full time candidates. Appearing in written test and interview/ Viva- Voce is compulsory for full time sponsored/ part time candidates. Candidates securing less than 50% marks in the above procedure will not be admitted. All admission will be made in the order of merit. After approval of the recommendations of the selection committee, the selected candidates will be offered admission to the programme. They will be required to join the concerned department. There will not be any direct admission to any level above first semester.

Reservation: Reservation of seats will be as per rules: Scholarship: GATE qualified candidates selected for full-time M.Tech course will be entitled for AICTE scholarship which will be distributed only after the receipt of grant from AICTE.

Fee Structure: i) Fee for India Students: Candidates selected will be required to deposit the annual fee and other charges immediately at the time of registration for which he/ she will be intimated before the date of registration well before the time. The amount of fee payable by him /her is Rs.32,470/- Rupees Thirty Two thousand four hundred Seventy only (likely to be revised) ii) Fee for foreign students: Candidates selected will be required to deposit the annual fee and other charges immediately at the time of registration for which he/ she will be intimated before the date of registration well before the time. The amount of fee payable by him /her is US$2500+Rs.4900/-(at the time of admission).US$400. Registration fee & US $100. Special fee per year (likely to be revised) The fee is to be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favor of Director, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi, payable at Delhi. No part payment will be accepted. No other mode of payment is accepted. All deposits are payable in full on admission and the refundable security are refunded only when the students leaves the Institute after deducting all the dues as determined by the Institute. Security deposit will be forfeited by the Institute, if it is not claimed within three years of the candidates ceasing to be on the rolls of the Institute and shall be deposited to Govt. Account.

Placement: Campus Recruitment programme conducted by the Institute is a very vital activity (For only Full-Time M.Tech candidates). Sponsored (F.T) & Part-Time candidates will not be allowed for campus placement. A close interaction between the Institute and various company executives has created excellent placement record. By sheer dint of hard work and dedication, the students of the Institute have created their enviable position in the industries.
