Happy Spring!
This spring has been a busy one for Alpha Delta Pi at Georgia College! We have initiated two new members into our chapter, are currently preparing for Greek Week, and are getting ready to see another senior class off for graduation! The end of the year is always a bittersweet time for sisters as we have our final moments with our senior sisters! We are so proud of this group of women and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for them!

Saying goodbye to another class of seniors is always bittersweet!

Senior Night
Senior Night is a time to honor our seniors! We are having Senior Night on Tuesday April 24th. We have traditions of Diamond Little Sisters reading letters to their Diamond Big Sisters, and senior sisters passing down some funny and sweet things in their senior wills!

How Alumnae Can Be Involved

Kentucky Derby
Ladies, its that time of the year again! Its time for Zeta Iotas annual semiformal Kentucky Derby! As always, we extend the invitation to our wonderful Alumnae. This years Kentucky Derby will be held on Saturday April 28th from 7-10pm at the lovely Madison Oaks Inn in Madison, Georgia! Alumnae who plan to attend will need to contact Zeta Iota about ticket information by Monday April 16th, 2012 at zetaiotaalumrelations@gmail.com. King of Diamonds Update
This semesters Lion Share Challenge, King of Diamonds, raised $5757 for our philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald Foundation. Thanks to everyone who donated and helped make this event so successful!

Zeta Iota Happenings

Pull for the House
Recently, some of the Zeta Iota sisters traveled to Macon to compete in one of the Macon Ronald McDonald Houses philanthropy events, Pull for the House. The girls worked together to pull a truck as many feet as they could to raise money for our favorite philanthropy, the Ronald McDonald House! Zeta Iota donated $1000 to participate!

Socials, Sisterhood, and More

Zeta Iota has had two socials recently, Pajama Jam with Pi Kappa Alpha and I Dont Wanna Grow Up with Theta Chi. Zeta Iota also had the a self defense sisterhood event where Georgia Colleges MMA team taught the ADPis some handy self defense tricks! Its been a fun month for social events!

Greek Week
Greek Week is this upcoming week April 13th-April 19th. The chapter has been practicing around the clock to win it! Zeta Iota sisters will compete against other Greek organizations in events like Step, Tug, Volleyball, Softball, Flag Football, Family Feud Trivia, Basketball, Swimming, and a Warrior Dash! May the best Greeks win!

A Big Thank You!

At the end of April, Zeta Iota Seniors will be participating in Jewel Degree to transition them from Delta members of Alpha Delta Pi to Pi members! Zeta Iota would like to thank the Macon Alumnae Association for putting on Pi transition for our wonderful seniors!

Staying Involved as an Alumnae

Staying involved as an alumna of Alpha Delta Pi can seem hard to do. Where do you start? Who do you contact? What can you do? Here are a few simple ways to stay involved once you become a Pi member of our chapter! 1) Update your Pride Online account! It is much easier for Alpha Delta Pi to stay in touch if we have your current email address, house address, and updated information. Pride Online can be found at alphadeltapi.org! 2) Get involved with an alumnae association! On alphadeltapi.org, there is a list of the nations alumnae associations! Find one close to you and contact them! 3) Stay involved with Zeta Iota through our Facebook page and twitter! Our Facebook page is Zeta Iota Alumnae-Alpha Delta Pi! Once you are a member, you can invite sisters to join and help them stay in touch! Also, follow adpiGCSU on twitter for updates on the chapter! 4) Get involved with nearby chapters! Help with your local chapters philanthropy events, attend their functions, or even become an advisor of a local chapter. For more ways on getting involved with local chapters, check alphadeltapi.org! 5) Finally, stay in touch with your chapter by emailing zetaiotaalumrelations@gmail.com , with your questions and concerns!
