REIKI-Can it be the future for healing and spreading peace on planet Earth?

REIKI-I heard this word some 4-5 years back. At that time, I believed that it is some kind of Magic or Voodoo used for healing the people. This assumption was demystified last week, when I got an opportunity to attend the REIKI session with some of my company colleagues. As this is not magic then the first question that comes in our mind is what is REIKI? The term REIKI is combination of two Japanese words namely REI (Spiritually guided) and KI (Energy or force). This energy or force is called CHI in Chinese, PRANA in Sanskrit and MANA in Hawaiian and has also been called ARGON or BIOPLASMA in other cultures. It is present all around and remains in plenty no matter how much you take away. This practice dates back more than three thousand ago to ancient Tibet; it was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk in the early nineteenth century.

How does REIKI work?

In Todays world many people are practicing meditation, yoga, various exercises etc to keep their body healthy. As this is done, a deeper awareness often develops concerning the flow of subtle energies in and around the body. This developing awareness validates the ancient idea of 'life force energy' as the cause of health and its lack as the cause of illness. REIKI also more or less based on 'life force energy' concept. This concept is generally the cleansing of the CHAKRAS. Chakra is a Sanskrit word and means "wheel". A wheel that spins around its own axis and can spin fast or slowly. A chakra will spin in relation to the energy level of our system. Where will we find these chakras? They exist within us all. Our chakras are parts of a large network of subtle energies. The human body's system consists of sensory, breathing, circulation, digestion, reproduction and secretion. There are six corresponding chakras for these bodily functions. The brain and the whole being also form one chakra, making a total of 7 major chakras. Every chakra has a corresponding organ in our physical system.

The crown chakra does not have a corresponding organ but is related to the whole being. The third eye (forehead) chakra belongs to the brain, face, nose, eyes etc. The throat chakra relates to the lungs and the throat. The heart chakra belongs to the heart and the arms. The solar plexus chakra is in relation to the liver, gall bladder, stomach, spleen and the small intestine.

The navel chakra (Sacra chakra) belongs to the reproduction system, the testicles and ovaries and also the urinary bladder and kidneys. The root chakra belongs together with the large intestine and the rectum. It also has a certain influence on the function of the kidneys. There is a clear connection between the condition of a chakra and the condition of the corresponding organ. A chakra can be over active, under active or in balance. Using Reiki can give the chakras balance and the organs health.

Health benefits of REIKI

The uses of Reiki cover a wide landscape. Virtually all physical illnesses and symptoms have been treated with Reiki. Some of the more common includes Allergies, Asthma etc. REIKI can also help heal emotional distress (Including depression, lethargy etc). When our energy fields are rebalanced, it restores our body to natural statewhich is joy. REIKI must be taught by an experienced Reiki master, we cannot teach ourselves these skills. Reiki has 3 different levels of training, each of which focuses on different aspects of Reiki practice. After one passes the three levels of training, it may still require years of practice to become acknowledged as a true Reiki Master. The person who performs the Reiki has the Universal Life Force activated within them by what is called a Reiki attunement. They are then able to use this energy in concentrated form. It can be applied in two ways: laying on hands method and long distance method. In former method, A REIKI practitioner holds his or her hands in one of 31 positions designed to bring energy into the recipient's body. There is no massaging, kneading or any other intense motion. These positions are grouped into three portions of the body: One near the head, on the front, and on the back. While there are standard positions, practitioners will often adapt or add new ones depending on a persons needs. In latter method, the Reiki practitioner in a particular place can sends the Reiki energy to another place. Each Reiki practitioner will do distance healing in a different way. Basically, the practitioner has to visualize the person he wants to send healing to. If he has a photo he can use it also. By using various REIKI symbols, a person can be easily healed from anywhere.

REIKI Attunement:
REIKI attunement is a powerful and spiritual experience. It may be initiated individually or in group. REIKI attunement opens up the energy path ways so that more life force energy can flow through the body. Some people may have mystical experience, healing, visions, colors and body sensations, some feel nothing at all. Attunement may increase ones psychic ability. REIKI attunement for everyone is unique. Once attuned to the energy, it can never be lost. Generally, the attunement is given by REIKI master and there are three levels of initiation REIKI Levels REIKI level 1: At this level the initiate is permanently attuned and connected to the Reiki source of healing energy. Once initiated it allows a person to performing healing on oneself and others. The first degree is the foundation for all three degrees and should be mastered first before the person considered for the next level. REIKI level 2: The initiate is attuned again to better connect with energies that heal mental and emotional issues and that can travel across any distance and time. The person with level 2 can heals his friends, family and even animals. In order to receive this initiation, one must have been previously attuned to REIKI level 1. REIKI level 3: All the REIKI energy is unlocked when attuned to this level. At this level the initiate will be able to perform REIKI attunements to other. One must have been previously attuned to Level 1 and Level 2 in order to receive this level.

Key for healing and promoting peace on planet:

REIKI can also be used to promote peace and healing of planet Earth. Many REIKI practitioners are following the World Peace Crystal Grid Program. Peace grids have been placed at North and South Poles of the earth as well as in Old Jerusalem. Their design allows REIKI to be sent to them and stored like a battery which is then made available to promote peace on Earth. Their placement at poles behaves like Root Chakra and Crown chakra similar to chakras in human body. REIKI energy from peace grid is carried by the magnetic field around the planet to heal the Earth.
