Welcome from the Organising Committee


Dear Delegates, Welcome to AIESEC New South Wales State Conference 2012. Its fantastic to have over 120 delegates attending as this years State Conference is going to be the best yet! Conferences are amazing opportunities to develop a strong understanding of what AIESEC embodies It is also a great opportunity for you to build your network with AIESECers from around the region and beyond. This conference is all about you! It is about finding out what AIESEC means to you, what impact you can make, and the tools you need to make positive impact in the global community. AIESEC is an organisation that can, and will provide you with some amazing opportunities, but its up to you which opportunities you will pursue. State Conference will not only show you where you can go, but empower you with the skills and knowledge you need to get there. AIESEC New South Wales has a strong and proud history. We have some of the strongest LCs in the country and we also have LCs with great potential. We are a region bonded by the potential we see in AIESEC New South Wales. Your LCs chose you to be part of AIESEC because of the potential they saw in you and this is where it all begins. Important Information
Transport Buses will depart from Darling Drive behind the UTS Haymarket Campus. Please see the map below to find your way there. Darling Drive is a short 5-minute walk from Central Station. Please ensure that you arrive at 7:00am sharp to not miss the bus.

This coach will bring us from the conference site back to UTS Haymarket Campus on Sunday afternoon estimated time of arrival to UTS campus is 6:30pm. If you have any questions regarding transportation and logistics, or you will be arriving late to conference or leaving early, please contact Tina Tran (043 589 8597) beforehand. Late Arrivals If you have paid to attend the conference but cannot arrive on time, please contact the OC (nswstatecon2012@gmail.com) to let us know if you have not already done so. We will assist you with transport to the conference site to the best of our ability. Personal Safety and Liability Please remember to look after yourself and others at the conference site. We will be in the bush area so make sure you are always wearing shoes. Alcohol will be served at parties, so please drink responsibly. The conference team will be following the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) guidelines. Delegates will be held personally liable for any damage done to the conference site. Please respect the site, look after it, and clean after yourselves. Delegate Fee The delegate fee is to be paid to your LC by Wednesday 3rd of April 2012. This includes accommodation, all meals at the conference site, transportation to and from the conference site and alcohol at parties. Meals All meals are included in the delegate fee. However, please ensure that you bring snacks for when you have the munchies! Laptops and USBs Acting sustainably is one of AIESECs six core values. In order conference, we would like to minimise our printing cost and carbon urge you to bring your laptop and USB to the conference as you will sessions. Leaving the Conference Site Please note that State Conference is a closed event so you may not come and go without prior consent and notice to a member of the Faci team. Sleeping Bag and Pillow (Essential) Writing Materials (Notebook, pens and pencils) Laptop USB Warm Clothing (It can get cold in early mornings and late nights) Closed-in shoes Party wear for Black and White Masquerade Regional colored clothing (Blue) AIESEC t-shirt Water Bottle Mugs or Cups for Coffee Redbull/V/Mother/Snacks Torch Energy and an open mind!

Rules and Regulations


Alcohol Regulations Alcohol will be provided during parties. Please note the following instructions with regards to alcohol consumption at conference. Failure to comply with these rules and/or other instructions from the OC on-site may warrant your removal from further participation in the conference. o drinking outside of party times N ll alcohol brought by delegates for drinking circles are to be handed to the OC for keeping A until requested for he OC has to be informed of all drinking circles (time and location) T rinking circle locations have to be discussed with the OCP D Alcohol is to be consumed only in the dining room and the wood-fire area nderage delegates are not allowed to consume alcohol U o drinking within rooms/cabins N Conference Regulations These are some rules with regards to the conference site, not limited to the following: elegates may be liable to damages of the conference site. Day 1 Discover
Day 1 is all about rediscovering AIESEC. Throughout your current AIESEC experience, you would have already gained a lot of perspective for this organisation. Day 1 is about taking that perspective to a higher level with the help of the member committee so delegates can understand the scope of our positive impact and why we do what we do! Day 2 is all about empowering yourself. The day is planned to give you as much up-skilling as possible; from soft-skills to management. You will have the opportunity to use what you have discovered yesterday to contribute back to your functional portfolio and to yourself. The day is about understanding how you can do it! After today, you should have discovered, empowered and be ready to achieve!
