COMMON EMITTER AMPLIFIER

Aim:
To obtain the frequency response of a common emitter amplifier and to measure the input and output impedances using Multisim.

Requirements:
1. 2. PC Multisim 2001

Procedure:
1. Collect the components required and connect them as per the circuit diagram. 2. Place a CRO at the output to measure the output voltage. 3. Now go to AC analysis and set the start and end frequencies as100 Hz and 1 GHz respectively to obtain the frequency response. 4. Measure the maximum gain (AVmax) and get the 3-dB gain by subtracting 3 from maximum gain. 3-dB gain = AVmax 3 5. Now measure upper (f2) and lower (f1) 3-dB frequencies and obtain the band width by using the formula, Bandwidth = f2 f1. 6. Connect multimeters at input and outputs to measure input and output impedances.

Result:
The frequency response of common emitter amplifier is obtained. Input and output impedances are also measured. Bandwidth = Input impedance = Output impedance =
