D2E International has developed a unique survey system designed to review all aspects of the installation. This survey is conducted by a fully trained lift engineer to ensure every detail is covered. For more details of the full range of services offered by D2E International please visit our website at www.d2einternational.com This survey has been split into 10 key sections as detailed below: A full technical evaluation of all major lift components is undertaken to establish; makes, installation dates and general specification of the lift installation A visual inspection is carried out of all key components in the Lift Car, Landings, Motor Room, Lift Shaft and Pit to establish the overall condition of the installation. A full DDA survey is conducted to ensure the lifts within a building and the building itself is compliant with the Part M / EN81-70 Disabled Access regulations. A full Health & Safety survey is conducted to ensure the lifts within are compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations covering people working on the lifts and users of the lifts. Safety Norm for Existing Lifts: This survey reviews 74 individual safety and accessibility items on existing lifts according to EN81/80. These cover both the users and workers on the lift installation. Review of major components looking at the equipment from a modernization perspective to establish the working life of the equipment before any improvements will be required (1 to 10 years scale). Review of the maintenance companies performance in terms of; visits and call outs in past 12 months together with a quality maintenance check on all key maintenance items. All key dimensions are measured for future reference, including; lift car, shaft, pit and machine room dimensions. Key electrical data is recorded in reference to the machine load and capacity. For fire-fighting lifts all data in relation to EN81-72:2003 is recorded to ascertain the credentials of the lift in respect to its fire fighting capabilities.
