Community Service

Board of Directors for Centerville School for Learning Disabled Children, Delaware 19932006. o During his tenure on the board, enrollment quadrupled and promoted two very successful capital campaigns West Chester School Districts Board of Directors o 1975-1983 served as vice-president two years; president four years o 2001-2009 served as president 6 years. During his tenure, convinced the board and the community that the students educational needs would be best served by restructuring the high schools. Three smaller high schools replaced two large high schools Instrumental in the conceptualization and establishment of the Class of 1949 Leadership Award o Responsible for the fund raising campaign and the driving force behind the formation of the corporation to provide for the awards perpetuity Responsible for the establishment of the Quintessential Athlete Award presented by the 1948-1949 Zephyr Basketball Team

Mr. Vaughn and his wife Patricia reside in West Chester, PA. They have two children; Eric and Bonnie, and three grandchildren.
