Setting the Captives Free Part 2

By Pastor Kikelomo Togun We would like to seize this opportunity to wish our readers a happy and blessed New Year, 2012. A year of mighty revival all over the world, a year of restoration of all that the enemy has stolen from the church. Amen. Jesus is the reason for the season for He came to set the captives free; He came to save us, to die for our sins, the sins of the world. The purpose He came for is to set the captives free. Jesus Christ is the deliverer. The power to set the captives free was transferred to the believers. Luke 10:19 says, Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. How can a believer who is not praying or even studying the Bible have power over the enemy? The power comes from studying the word of God, which is the truth that will set us free. Satan keeps you from the truth because he doesnt want you to be free. Ephesians 6:12 states, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. So we are not fighting against flesh and blood but we are fighting against a power much greater than our own little power and that is why we need a power greater than the power of the enemy. Jesus power!! Holy Spirit power!! We need Him to be able to win this battle; that is why we need to stay close to God 24/7, so that the enemy cannot get us. A sheep that strays away from the shepherd can be eaten by a lion. Stay close to God 24/7. How? By studying the word daily!! By praying daily!! By fasting regularly!! By living a holy life if you sin quickly ask God for forgiveness and forsake your sin, because sin separates us from God. The Lord has also given His children weapons to fight this battle: The weapon of prayer The weapon of the word of God The weapon of righteousness The weapon of faith The weapon of salvation The weapon of truth The weapon of witnessing Ephesians 6:10-11 states, Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The slogan for our church this year is,

KEEP YOURSELF PURE.

Spiritual Leprosy
By Philip Ademola Togun

Text: II Kings 5: 1-14 The above text tells us about Naaman. Verse 1 reads thus: Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, BUT HE WAS A LEPER. He was a man of wealth, high social standing and great influence, but he had an embarrassing problem leprosy, which evidently caused him heartache. He must have consulted many physicians in Syria without success. But when he met Elisha, he was introduced to Jehovah Rapha, God the Healer. Naaman had physical leprosy. Many people today are suffering from spiritual leprosy. Some cases of physical leprosy are very obvious with the stumpy fingers and toes and facial disfigurement, while others are not visible and can initially be covered with clothes, though over time they will manifest. There are also two types of spiritual leprosy the highly visible type manifesting as pride, anger, alcoholism and the not so visible ones like lust, pornography, adultery and fornication. The list is of course longer than the examples given above. The burning question is: What is your leprosy? Do you recognize it as a problem but have been seeking help in the wrong places? Many in the church today have abandoned Biblical counseling for psychology and psychiatry band-aid solutions at best.

Godly counsel, through Elisha, led Naaman to the river Jordan where his leprosy was washed away. Biblical counseling will lead anyone with a spiritual leprosy to Jesus to be washed in His blood. Writing his great song of faith about the efficacy of the blood of Jesus, William Cowper penned these immortal words: There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Emmanuels veins, And sinners, plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains William Cowpers spiritual leprosy was chronic depression with suicidal tendencies. When he was introduced to Christ, the blood of Jesus washed it away and he became a new person. The blood of Jesus will wash away your spiritual leprosy just as the river Jordan washed away Naamans physical leprosy. Are you ready to dive into that fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuels veins?

Greetings and Shalom

Christlove International (UK Branch) Happy New Year Christlove International family and all the true believers in Christ Jesus. I bring you greetings and good tidings of good things in the year 2012 from Him that is from above through the inspiration of His Holy Spirit. I want to give Our Heavenly Father all the glory, Honour and Thanks for the last year, 2011. God is Awesome and will always be the I AM. Amen. Firstly, allow me to just give Him adoration honour to whom all honour is due and bestowed. The King of kings, the Lord of lords, the King of Righteousness, the King of Heaven, the King of Glory. The Incorruptible, Invisible, Indispensable, Uncontainable, Unfathomable, Indescribable, Unmatchable. The Unshakable shaker, Unchangeable changer, and Immovable mover. He is wiser than the wisest, greater than the greatest, higher than the highest, mightier than the mightiest, stronger than the strongest. He is the key to knowledge, the wellspring of wisdom, the pathway of peace, the roadway of righteousness, the highway of holiness, the doorway of deliverance and the gateway of glory. He is the eternal life, the eternal word, the eternal rock, the eternal bread, the eternal light, the eternal peace, the eternal rest and the eternal high priest. The eternal in eternity from eternity to eternity. He is everything in all things and all things in everything. He is the limit of all things yet unlimited in all. With him there is no beginning yet He began the beginning, with Him there is no end yet He knows the end from the beginning. He is Omni-potent (all powerful), Omni-present (all present) and Omni-scent (all knowing). He is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Who can stand before His terror? The fear of Him is unmatchable and noncomparable. The devils know, and they tremble. The sea saw it and fled; river Jordan turned back, the mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs. What ails you, O Sea, that you fled? O River Jordan, that you turned back? O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs. Tremble O earth at the presence of the Lord of host. Alleluia. Amen My special greeting and honor go to our dearly beloved pastors Mummy Kikelomo and Daddy Philip. May the good Lord richly bless you mightily for what you are doing for the kingdom of God. You have been a blessing to many in this generation through the grace of our Lord and Savior, and the power of His Holy Spirit. I say thank you, thank you, thank you. You are indeed ambassadors of Christ. We salute from UK. Thank you for giving me the privilege to write an article in the Christlove newsletter for the Glory of God as led by His Spirit. I also want to thank Mummy Theresa Luck-Akinwale (Board Member), a woman of God who is zealous for the Kingdom of God, the walking bible. You have been a blessing to us. We appreciate you more than words can express. We pray for more grace over your life ma. My love to all the wonderful ministers and beloved of the Christlove family. May you partake of His goodness in the year 2012. We love you.
