THESIS REQUIREMENTS
1. Candidates for Thesis must present architectural plans of his proposed project to a faculty member designated for the purpose of evaluating and approving the plan. The Architectural Plan should be: 1.1 1.2 An existing architectural edifice/structure prepared and duly signed by a licensed architect A proposed architectural edifice/structure prepared and duly signed by a licensed architect

3. Upon preliminary approval of the proposed project, the student must prepare the Formal Thesis Proposal (refer to Thesis Format).
4. Scope of the Thesis Project will include five (5) major areas selected by the Thesis Adviser from the approved plan. 5. The production of Design Documents should contain detailed and extensively prepared working drawings. These documents should include the following: 5.1 GENERAL 5.1.1 5.1.2 IMAGE BOARD MASTER PLAN of the project showing the entire architectural floor plan where the chosen area or room is situated. Other levels of architectural plan need not be redrafted. Master Plan shall contain furniture layouts of the five (5) chosen areas.

FIVE (5) MAJOR AREAS 5.2.1 PRESENTATION BOARD (on 15x20 or 20x30 board, with complete dimensions, specifications, call-outs and properly labeled) 5.2.1.1 FLOOR PLAN WITH FURNITURE LAYOUT of each room or area to be designed 5.2.1.2 REFLECTED CEILING PLAN 5.2.1.3 INTERIOR ELEVATIONS showing built-in items, wall treatments, wall accessories and window dressing 5.2.1.4 ITEMIZED DRAWINGS of all movable furniture pieces with specifications as to sizes, materials, finishes, special features, quantity and prevailing unit price. 5.2.1.5 SWATCHES
5.2.2 ELECTRICAL PLANS 5.2.2.1 Lighting Layout (showing wiring systems, lighting outlets and switches) 5.2.2.2 Power Layout (showing wall and floor convenience outlets) 5.2.3 CONSTRUCTION DETAILS of either interior architecture details, built0in furniture or cabinetry, or movable furniture pieces for each room or area to be specified by the Thesis Adviser. PERSPECTIVE DRAWINGS of the five (5) areas or rooms in cinemascopic view and rendered in full color on illustration board. Standard format of plate shall be followed with not more than 1 border all around. Sticker shall be placed at the lower right corner of the illustration board.

6. SAMPLE PLATE Complete production design documents of one (1) area or room specified by the Thesis Adviser should be completed within the first half of the semester. Plotting and rendering of the perspective should be completely done in school with the supervision of the Thesis Adviser. This would serve as SAMPLE PLATE and guide to determine authorship. Sample plate shall bear the signatures of the
Thesis Adviser and shall be kept after submission by the Thesis Council. This will be given back a few days before the thesis deliberation for the finishing touches. 7. To facilitate easy production of documents, students may be allowed to seek help from others in terms of drafting works after his layout and design have been approved by the Thesis Adviser. However, the student shall be liable and answerable for all drafting errors.
Thesis Format refers to the layout and creative content of the thesis book, including page composition and other accompanying compilations.
A. PRELIMINARY PARTS
DEDICATION PAGE - contains the students personal inscription, to his family or friends; should be concise. The word DEDICATION should be capitalized and appear at the center, no less than 2 from the top page. TITLE PAGE - contains the thesis title and standard format. APPROVAL SHEET - contains the signature of the Thesis Adviser and the Department Head stipulating that the student has partially fulfilled the requirements leading to the course and is recommended to take the oral presentation of the thesis. JURYS APPROVAL SHEET - contains the signature of the panel of jurors signifying their approval of the thesis. ACKNOWLEDGMENT PAGE contains expression of gratitude to ones mentor, peers and other individuals who have given assistance in completing the thesis. It must comply with the specified spacing and font applicable to every part of the thesis. THESIS ABSTRACT* composed of two to three short paragraphs explaining briefly the summary and content of the thesis. TABLE OF CONTENTS contains the readers guide to the thesis and has the following parts: a. All the elements of the front matter (Preliminaries) b. Chapter titles with main headings (all in capital letters) and subheadings The phrase TABLE OF CONTENTS (capitalized) should be typed at the center, no less than 2 from the top of the page. The word CHAPTER (capitalized) should be typed above the column for the chapter divisions, and the word PAGE (capitalized) should be typed above the column for the page numbers.

C. ATTACHMENTS
BIBLIOGRAPHY contains the list of all references, materials and other sources of information. These references must be published five years from current year except for archival materials. APPENDICES PROPOSAL SHEET a formal request written by the student for the approval of the thesis proposal and contains the following: Signature of the student Endorsement of the Thesis Adviser Approval of the Department Head WORKING CONTRACT/OTHER MATERIALS USED FOR THESIS contains the working contract and other materials such as surveys, photos, questionnaires, clippings, letters, graphs, site plan, catalogues, brochures, etc. STUDENT PROFILE/BIODATA with 2x2 picture
