About CBS ALife Allah CBS ALife Allah is the son of a minister and a teacher. Both instilled within him a drive to experience his environment and to imbue it with meaning. The academic bar was always set high in his household and he met the challenge becoming accepted to several academic programs and camps in his youth. One of those programs was a summer program at the Yale Peabody Museum which enhanced his already deep love of science. During high school, he worked at a Waldenbooks bookstore, which started an almost lifelong relationship with books and knowledge. While attending Wesleyan college, he worked in the library, where he would hide in the stacks consuming volumes of books. While working as the Special Orders Supervisor for Barnes and Nobles, he would spend almost more than he earned on crates of books. As a resident of New Haven, Connecticut, he has found his way into every library at Yale University, where he sets up camp, reads, and takes notes until closing time. CBS has traveled abroad to England, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. His forays into Africa allowed him to see indigenous problem-solving methodologies applied to pressing issues. It was in many of these observations that he noticed that the adoption and/or forcing of Western views on science and technology exacerbated the problems at hand. He also noticed that there wasnt a full appreciation for indigenous science. When he returned to the states, he realized that the lack of scientific awareness in the Original community had much to do with the veiling of the indigenous roots of western science,
the veiling of the Original mans contributions to modern day science, and a lack of the connection between theory and application in addressing the issues of Original people. In high school, he was also introduced to the Nation of Gods and Earths (also known as the Five Percenters). The pro-scientific focus of this group further enhanced his views on science and its place in the Original community. In the early 90s he was one of the first Gods online through IRC chat. He eventually had a hand in every manifestation of the Gods and Earths online presence, from listservs, to chat groups, to NGE webpages, to having one of the first Nationcentric blogs (Sol Power Network at allahsfivepercent.blogspot.com). However, this nation building was never limited to online activity, as he has become a well known builder in his immediate area and within the Nation at large. He has been instrumental in promoting and ensuring that there is a science fair at every annual Educational and Scientific Show and Prove in Harlem. CBS ALife Allahs full platform is science literacy for Original people worldwide. Through this work, along with Supreme Understanding, he hopes to develop a template whereby Original people can regain their place at the center of scientific discourse and whereby research-based theory can become dynamically linked with communitycontrolled problem-solving initia-tives.
