X. If a figure is included on any page, it should be numbered below the figure, as shown in the sample below. The figure should be placed after the page on which a reference is made about it. Example, suppose that on page 24 it is stated Fig.4.1 gives the details of the experimental set up. Then the figure should either immediately follow on page 24 itself or on page 25 but not on page 23 or 26.

Fig.4.1. Variation of stress in the shell of a tube. XI. If a table is to be included on any page then it should be numbered above the table. As in the case of figures, the table should be placed immediately after any statement of the table in the text.

Table. 3.5 Variation of viscosity with temperature

XII. Calculations, design steps, any computer programme etc., if lengthy, should be give in appendix. If there are more appendices, they should be numbered, in the order in which they appear/are mentioned in the text, like APPENDIX-I, APPENDIX-II, etc. XIII. The conclusion and results (if any )of the project should be summarized in the last chapter. That chapter should also include suggestions for future work in the area. XIV. Each topic and subtopic should be numbered. Example 1.3 Working Principle: implies that it is in chapter 1 and third topic 1.3.1 Condenser: implies that it is in chapter 1 and the 1st subtopic, in the 3rd topic. XV. The last item in the project report is REFERENCES. The references actually give the address of the article or technical paper, so that any person reading your report can access the material under reference easily. Example: In the statement Most of the present day refrigerators [1] work on vapor compression cycle [2]. A modern fresh food refrigerator Here the [1] in square brackets suggest that the detail on refrigerators is taken from reference [1] and that on vapor compression from [2]. The references are numbered in the same order as they appear in the text or chapter. Few examples of references are given below. The word/s in italic give the characteristics/meaning of the word preceding it. Web material to which you have referred to should not be included in references unless the web address is that of a recognized technical body such as AICTE, Kerala Education Grid, or IEEE and the address is permanent. 1.
