4. Colonial Family Life http://www.ehow.com/colonial-family-life/ This site shows the major difference between the colonial family life and the modern family life. The colonial lifestyle was all about work. The colonial household consists of the nuclear family along with the extended family. Each gender role had to work hard to produce for the family, this burden came along with their everyday life. For example, the fathers and sons had to go hunting daily for the meals so the family can eat. Colonial families lived by different cultures based on the country or state the colony was located. 5.
