JOB DESCRIPTION:

Wad-Medani Teaching Hospital is a 400 beds teaching

hospital with all modern medical facilities. It is attached to the medical college of the faculty of medicine, university of Gezira and Ministery of Health Gezira State. It is one of the largest and the oldest hospital in Sudan. It is a pure obstetrics and Gynaecology hospital with 20 consultants Obstetrician 3 Consultants Neonatologists and consultant anesthetist. Well equipped labour rooms with good medical service and facilities including neonatal resuscitation uni and OR consist of 5 rooms serve all Elective and Emergency operations. DUTIES, RES PONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS

 Runing a Unit in accompany with 2 other conultants

( the average Number of in-patients around 40) with a 4 times/week clinical round. A weekly Reffered Clinic ( Average Number of patients seen is 60) . A weekly Operative list. A weekly cobined Gyne-oncolgy clinic in the National Cancer Institute in collaboration with the clinical oncolgists. Insertion of central venous line for high risk pregnancy, including pre-eclampsia. Insertion of urethral catheters. Managing parturient with high blood pressure. Managing patients with obstetric emergencies (APH PPH Ecalmpsia ..etc). Management of Normal labour. Conducting a normal vaginal delivery. Conducting abnormal vaginal delivery (Breech delivery, delivery of Twin pregnancy). Performing Evacuation of Retained Products of Conception and Dilatation and Curettage. Performing a suction evacuation. Conducting instrumental vaginal delivery (Forceps and Vacuum). Performing of elective and emergency Cesarean sections (Including Second satge Cesarean section. Performong a lapratomy for Ectopic pregnancy and Ovarian Cysts accedents. Performing Emergency Hysterectomy (Cesarean hysterectomy). Performing a myomectomy for uterine fibroids. Performing a total hysterctomy for benign diseases. Performing a vaginal hysterectomy. Performing anterior and posterior repair. Assissting in managing patients with malignant diseases (Ovarine, Uterine, Cervical, Vulval and Gestational trophobalstic diseases).
