Lesson Plan

Lesson 1

Teacher elicits the pupils knowledge by asking them what would they do if a little boy or girl whom they did not know came and sat next to the pupils. 1. Teacher plays the introduction component. Pupils listen to the narrator introducing Bee Sim and her plight as a new person in the neighbourhood. Azri is introduced as well. 2. Azri approaches Bee Sim and makes friends with her. They exchange questions and answers (information) about themselves. They discover that they are not only neighbours but also classmates. He promises to introduce her to his other friends. 3. Pupils express their feelings about Bee Sims feelings. 4. Pupils learn how to ask simple questions and answer the questions. 5. There are two activities in the Activity component. Activity 1: Pupils to fill in interrogative questions. Activity 2: Pupils answer an MCQs

Evaluation Time: 5 minutes Enhancement Time: 3 minutes Extension Time: 4 minutes Conclusion

6. There is one evaluation, pupils to identify correct answer. They are evaluated on interrogative questions. 7. Enhancement is divided into two sections Remedial and Enrichment. Activity is activity catered to reinforce what is learnt. Here pupils match questions to answers. Enrichment is an additional activity. Pupils rearrange words to form questions. 8. Extension is a fun activity. Pupils to fill in a form based on information provided. Teachers can have a role play to reinforce what the pupils have learned. Teacher can also elicit information from them by asking them to find out about the person sitting next to them. Teacher can conclude by emphasizing on moral values: neighbourliness, friendliness, living in society
