OBIEE/OBI Apps Developer

Job Summary
As a member of the DTA OBIEE Development and Support team, this person will be required to design and build reports, dashboards, cubes and scorecards using the Oracle OBIEE plus development tool suite. This position involves strong technical knowledge of the OBIEE, OBIEE architecture and Oracle BI Analytical Applications for implementation and configuration. The OBIEE Development and Support will be provided remotely by E-mail and/or by phone. There may be occasional travel involved to client sites.

Responsibilities Overview:

Collaborate with on-site consultants to successfully implement and maintain enterprise level business analytics and data warehousing solutions. Provide OBIEE Business Model development with Dimensions, Hierarchies, Measures, Partitioning, Aggregation Rules, Security and Cache Management. Develop and implement complex OBIEE user interface objects (e.g. reports, analytics, ad-hoc queries, dashboards, cubes, scorecards etc.). Support the on-site team in USA during their off hours to provide development and support for the OBIEE applications. Implement, configure and utilize iBots, Multi User Development Environments and Cache Strategies. Build, Install, Integrate and Maintain OBIEE, Oracle BI Analytical Application environments.

Daily Tasks Overview

Review requirements and build dashboards, reports, metadata models, security models, ETL mappings, DAC tasks. Execution plans and Essbase cubes for client projects, POCs and Demo environments.

 Use our Ticketing System to track/manage/fix open issues/requests on supported OBIEE, Oracle BI Analytical Application implementations.

Provide day to day production support of data warehouse BI environment. Troubleshoot Production issues, identify root cause and migrate fixes. Review dashboard and ETL performance issues and provide guidance on any remedial actions.

Respond to onsite consultants, customer e-mails and Voice Mails the same day with an estimated time for delivery/resolution. Manage Service Requests with Oracle (provide assistance to other team members as needed). Build run book documents of OBIEE tasks implemented for clients.

Perform OBIEE release management, migration tasks when requested on behalf of clients or for DTA.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science. Background in math is a plus.

Minimum of five years business intelligence and data warehouse work experience and three years OBIEE 10g/11g/Oracle BI Analytical Applications work experience Strong understanding of business intelligence and data warehouse concepts and fundamentals. Experience with OBIEE, Oracle BI Applications, Informatica. Experience with dimensional modeling and database development using SQL / PL-SQL. Oracle BI Certification is a PLUS Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning is a PLUS. Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting skills is a PLUS Must be fluent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook/Word/Excel).

Overseas work experience in USA/UK/Australia will is a PLUS

Schedule and Compensation
