Experiment Results Student Attendance Module Testing In student attendance module, the researchers have successfully tested the

detection of ID of student by using the barcode scanner upon entering the bus. The scanned ID number will be the input for the process of login and logout of the student. The student presence or attendance will be updated on the database. The trial is considered a success if the barcode was able to scan the ID cards of the student and was able to change the current status of the student into the database. And the trial is considered a failure if unexpected error occurred, other than the barcode reader didnt scan the ID because of the ID was damaged. The first table indicates the test in reading or scanning of ID using the barcode reader. The second and the last table indicate the login and logout of the student.

Student Registration Module Testing In student registration module testing, the researchers have successfully tested the student registration module by entering the clients information into the server database records. The bus number will be provided by the administrator. The trial is considered a success if the clients information is reflected to the database. And the trial is considered a failure if the clients information doesnt reflect the database.

GPS Signal Testing In the GPS signal testing, the researchers have successfully tested the signal strength of the GPS receiver while inside the school service. The output coordinates of the GPS is in NMEA format. The trial is considered a success if the GPS receiver detected a fixed signal. The longitude, latitude, speed, current date and time can only be acquire if a fixed signal was detected. The trial is considered a success if the GPS receiver detected a fixed signal. And the trial is considered a failure if the GPS receiver unable to find a fixed signal, this can only happen if the school service is inside a tunnel, or have many disturbances like tall buildings & trees.

Vehicle Location Accuracy Testing In vehicle location accuracy testing, the researchers have successfully tested the accuracy of the coordinates given by the GPS receiver. The coordinates received by the GPS coordinates is in degrees, minutes and seconds format and it must be converted to decimal format for the Google Geocoding to accept the inputs. The result given by the Google Geocoding will be the current location in string format then researchers check whether the location given by Google Geocoding is correct. The trial is considered a success if the coordinates was converted into a local readable address. And the address given is reliable because it is the location where the researchers performed the tests. The trial is considered a failure if Google Geocoding was unable to convert the coordinate into a readable address. And it also considered a failure if the given address is not exact or close to the location where the test was performed.

ETA Module Testing In ETA module testing, the researchers have successfully tested the functionality of the ETA module. The researchers tested the verification of the clients phone number and passcode. The researchers also determined if the system would deliver a specific request to the proper bus wherein the student is registered. After verification of the request from the client, the ETA module will send the request to the bus and then when the reply from the bus was received it will compute the Estimated Time of Arrival. When the information including current location and estimated time of arrival was gathered, the ETA module will send the information to the client through SMS. The estimated time of arrival was dependent to the speed of the bus, if the bus is moving with the minimum speed of 10 kph the computed estimated time of arrival will be included in the SMS. And if the bus has the speed of less than 10kph, a message that indicates the bus is not moving will be included in the SMS. The trial is considered a success if the system was able to generate the ETA from the two compared address. The trial is considered success of the system generated ETA is the same as the actual timed ETA. According to the study of J. Dudley et al. the maximum deviation of an algorithm using only GPS coordinates and waypoint distance is 7.75. If the raw score of the eta provided by the system is within the range of the said deviation, it provides a successful ETA. Raw score is acquired through the difference of the input and the timed travel.

Full System Test In testing the whole system the researchers will need respondents that will register to the database. The information needed from the client to be registered is the student number, student name, client phone number, client name, bus number, passcode and address. If the system has records of the students, the researchers next tested if the student attendance program will be able to update the student attendance of the students in the school service. The school service will connect to the server database remotely. The server will send four instances of reply depending on the SMS request from the client. Upon receiving the request from the client, the server will authenticate the request if the client is registered to the system and has entered a correct passcode. If the client number is not registered in the system, the server will send an error message informing the client that is not registered. If the client number is valid it will then check the validity of the passcode sent by the client and if it does not match the server will send a reply informing that the client entered a wrong passcode. If the phone number and passcode is valid, the system will check the attendance of the student in the school service. If the student is not present in the service, the server will send a message informing the client that the student has not entered the service and if the student is present it will send the whole information including the time, current location and estimated time of arrival. The system test has five parameters wherein: 1. The trial is considered a success if the client receives a reply from the server. 2. The trial is considered a success if the client is registered, entered the right pass code and the student is on the bus then the server will return a reply to the client the ETA and the current location of the bus. 3. The trial is considered a success if the client is not registered, then the server will return a reply an error message saying that the client is not registered 4. The trial is considered a success if the client is registered, entered the right pass code, but the student is not on the bus then the server will return a reply an error message saying that the student is not on the bus. 5. The trial is considered a success if the client is registered but entered the wrong pass code, then the server will return a reply an error message saying that the client entered the wrong passcode.
