There will be opportunities to partake in workshops run by many of these artists, to explore the specialist learning facilities within the NCCL, and to engage with exciting new ideas in contemporary arts education. Additionally there will be presentations and discussions with Virgina Mitchell and Glenn Barkley, and an update on the Visual Arts in the Australian curriculum - an important issue for all art educators. How does this differ from creativity? What role does creativity and learning play in a museum of contemporary art? Heather Robertson, MCA Head of Creative Learning, kicks off the program by challenging you to get out of the comfort of your conference seat and join in creating a creative environment.
