Todd Long to Participate in Candidate Forum and Debate

First Public Forum of Republican Candidates for Newly Created Congressional District Nine

KISSIMMEE, Florida Conservative Republican Congressional Candidate Todd Long will participate in a Candidates Debate sponsored by the Osceola County Landlord Association this coming Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. The forum, being held at the Kissimmee Utility Authority - 1701 W. Carroll St. Kissimmee, Florida 34741 will be very informal, allowing for opening comments, questions from the public and media and closing comments. There will be one-on-one time from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. with the forum/debate starting at 6:30 and lasting roughly two hours This will be the first joint appearance of the Republican Candidates vying for the nomination to challenge former Congressman Alan Grayson in November. Republican Candidates who have confirmed their participation in addition to Long are Julius Melendez and Mark Oxner. Announced Candidate John Quinones has failed to commit to this debate as of press time. Long welcomes the opportunity to debate the pressing issues important to the Citizens of the new Ninth Congressional District and is looking forward to meeting his contenders in this forum. I dont need a poll to tell me that adding trillions of dollars of debt on top of the $14 trillion Washington has already borrowed is not acceptable to the American Citizens. And I dont need a consulting team to tell me that balancing the Federal budget is at the crisis stage. Waffling on a budget plan with no resolution for almost the entire Obama Presidential term is not leadership. I am running for Congress to supply the Leadership that is sorely lacking in the current Congress so that we can solve this crisis.
