Swep has landed on Copenhagen Airport. Big assignment. Great outcome.

1. With almost 22 million people passing Copenhagen airport every year, it puts tough demands on the cleaning infrastructure. 2. One important condition for airport cleaning is that it has to be performed among all travellers. Therefore the utensils have to look good. 3. Heavy floor traffic requires floors back in use immediately after cleaning. Vileda Professional microfiber mops are ideal for this. 4. Our pilot team were the ambassadors when implementing the Vileda Professional solution and utensils to the complete cleaning team. 5. With a need to clean 100,000 m2 floor area in as short time as possible the natural solution was Vileda Professionals Swep system - a complete microfiber floorcleaning system designed to fulfil all cleaning requirements. Regarding the enormous floor area to be covered, it was natural to choose a Swep Duo solution double sided mops and frames, covering twice the cleaning area with just a flip of the frame. Total cleaning system up-grade

As traffic and premises constantly grew at Copenhagen Airport there was a huge need to up-grade the complete cleaning system washing facilities, logistics and infrastructure/ distribution, cleaning utensils and the cleaning process. After a thorough evaluation and trial process of several players, the choice was Vileda Professional and their complete system solution.

From analysis to implementation

Already from the beginning a pilot team from the cleaning staff was highly involved in the evaluation and decision making process. After a thorough training session the pilot team started using the new Vileda Professional system. The outcome was extremely successful and the pilot teams served as the systems best ambassadors amongst their colleagues.

Beating superbugs in St Johns Hospital Healthier Health Care. Cleaner hospital.

With the Swep system we managed to beat the MSRA superbug almost to zero, Margaret Christie, Domestic Services Manager at St Johns Hospital . 2. After the cleaning of a patient room or a ward, the dirty mop is changed into a fresh one. Very low risk for spreading bacteria. 3. In the old days we used traditional wet mopping. That way we were not able to cut the infection rate. 4. The microfibers literally scrapes the dirt away. This reduces the risk for bacteria growth or spreading. 5. Swep mops are guaranteed to last 1,000 wash cycles. That amounts to three years average usage if they are laundered dail which has obvious cost, return on investment and environmental benefits.

And when they develop into superbugs like MRSA there is a huge problem spreading along wards and hospitals. At St Johns Hospital the decision was taken to beat the superbug and lower the infection rate by more effective cleaning and hence a higher hygiene standard. 53.000 m2 floor area 550 beds From traditional to modern, effective and hygienic Traditional cleaning using a single mop increases the risk of spreading dirt and bacteria from one ward to another. On-site Executions and Results Beating the superbug required a new cleaning concept St Johns compared well to other hospitals infection rate, but is always looking for ways to improve. Logically they discovered that more effective cleaning is providing the solution. Before moving to the Vileda Professional Swep Microfibre cleaning system, the cleaning teams at St Johns had been using traditional wet mopping, but came across the Swep system at an exhibition. Training for maximum result A vital part of the success is the tailor-made training that was set up for the domestic assistants at St Johns Hospital. Three Vileda Professional representatives came into the hospital to train the domestic assistants in total over 300 and the training took place also at nights and at weekends, which is when some of the cleaning is performed. The domestic assistants were provided with all the Swep equipment required to carry out extensive trials within the hospital.
