--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Maintenance And Service Module module in ERP provides an integrated solution for supporting the operational needs of an enterprise-wide system. Data concerning the servicing and history of maintenance tasks is documented in the system and complies with business verification requirements. All maintenance tasks such as inspection, servicing and repair activities are saved in a historical database. A proper after sales service through quick response prompt delivery is needed for enhancing customer satisfaction. Service need may encompass maintenance, warranty management, defect identification etc The major sub-systems of Maintenance And Service Module module are: Equipment Log ----------------------------------------------Equipment is an asset that needs to be monitored and protected. In many situations,equipment maintenance costs constitute the single largest controllable expenditure of an organization. All facets of plant location history and utilization history are described and tracked. This history includes acquisition and disposition information and associations between different pieces of equipment to pin point operational dependencies. Running totals for operational units to date (miles, hours, days, units of production, etc) are also provided. Each piece of equipment is defined by a model and serial number. User-defined data sheets can be developed which allow for the grouping of user data into formats that can be linked to equipment specifications, which provide detailed information for technical specialists working in equipment operations, maintenance and transportation control. Implementation : stores details of every machine in machine mastermachine id ,machine specification,model,purchase date,supplier name,cost,warranty expiry date ,insurance,person in charge, ownership ,spare parts details, maintenance activity and maintenance interval. Provide a list wise view of all machines- provision to manipulate the machine master data. Preventive Maintenance Control --------------------------------------------------Preventive Maintenance Control provides planning, scheduling and control of facilities and equipment. Equipment lubrication, components replacement and safety inspection can be planned schedule, and monitored. Maintenance tasks can be tracked for each machine. These modes could include tracking by hours of operation, units of production produced,gallons of fuel consumed, or the number of days in operation since the last service interval. Preventive Maintenance Control enables organizations to lower repair costs by avoiding downtime, machine breakage and process variability. Companies achieve higher machine utilization and improved machine reliability and tolerance control, along with higher production yields.

Implementation : Stores PM details-machine name,date,maintenance type,spare part details,man power details work order scheduling-Receives data like machine id,maintenance activity,work force and spares process the data and schedule the work order. Warranty Claims Tracking -------------------------------------------Warranty Claims Tracking is an administrative system designed to provide control of all items covered by manufacturer and vendor warranties. It enables plant management to recover all of the warranty, reimbursements to which they are entitled but have not been able to recover in the past. Features include the ability to establish the type and length of warranty, for example,elapsed day, months, mileage stipulation, or operating units. A complete history is performed for each item covered by the warranty, and complete information regarding the warranty service provider is generated. Implementation : Stores warranty details-machine name,date,warranty type,warranty duration details,vendor details Automatic update on new machine installation. Provision to add Annual maintenance contract and management of existing one. Provide a list wise view of all data- provision to manipulate the data. Customer management ----------------------------------------------Customer management is to log and render timely support to the customers after sales. This helps to meet the demand of customers by providing them the facility to access information and answer to the service request. By implementing this module the customer is supported by round-the-clock service by us. This feature facilitates all necessary information and solutions the customers required to help themselves, anytime and anywhere .The customer can log the support ; this can be assigned to the respective site engineers. Furthermore, customer can view this product information, support agreement and support call status. Any spare part required for this call can be requested by the site engineer. Implementation : Stores customer details -name,city,contact no, product details,warranty/support agreement,date of purchase. customer can view product information, support agreement and support request status. Customer can request support through Customer complain call sheet .Accordingly request support is passed to the service engineer. A service report is generated afterwards.
