PROJECTTYPE:
Micro controller (AT89C51) based hardware design with Software development.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Aim of the design is to develop a robot based on Embedded micro controller (8051), which is used for operating in hazardous environments of an industry. The robot is controlled by a person by pressing switches on the board which will be far away from the robot. The robot will collect the parameters and transmit them to control room. This project design makes use of 8051 micro controllers for interfacing to various hardware interfaces.

Technology today is seeing its heights in all the areas, especially in the area of Embedded Systems. It is true that every electronic gadget that is used in daily life right from a PC keyboard to a refrigerator is an Embedded System. This it self shows how vastly the technology is expanding. These days Embedded Systems are widely used in domestic as well as industrial purposes in different domains like Communications, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Biomedical etc. The robot will collect the temperature details and send it to the control room. Apart from the temperature it will also be monitoring the gas leakage detection. It also send the audio vedio data to the controll room.

PROJECT OUTLINE
A brief introduction to internal architecture of micro controller.

An over view of programming of micro controller. An over view of assembly/ Embedded C language. An over view the I/O devices.

INTERFACES USED
Serial communication used for downloading the hex code. Serial interfacing with PC. bluetooth interfacing.

LCD interface. Buzzer alarm. Temperature sensor Gas sensor fire vsensor

SOFTWARES USED
A Cross compiler for compiling and linking the code written for AT898C51. Serial communication software for downloading code to AT89C51. Operating System: Windows 2000. Application program development in Embedded C.
