Ifyouhavetodrivethroughtheconstructionareas,pleasekeep inmindthattherearenoleftturnspostedat21standMaize Roadandat13thandRidgeRoad.Also,thespeedlimitsare reducedto30MPH.Remember,finesincreaseinworkzones! IntheAugust2011newsletter,wereportedthethencurrentresultsfromthe survey.Thoseresultshavenotchanged.Themajorityofrespondentsareinter estedinextendingthesidewalkfullyaroundthepond.Thisprojectisfollowed ininterestbyimprovingtheentrancemonument(s).Interestinconstructinga smallplaygroundwasnext,withhalfoftherespondentsnotinterestedatall. Respondentswereleastinterestedinconstructingawallalong21stStreet,with twothirdsofthemreportingtheywerenotinterestedinthisprojectatall. Thesurveyalsoaskedaboutfundingfortheseprojects.Almost60%wantto temporarilyincreasethegeneralduesforafewyearstopayforasingleproject. Theremainingrespondentsweresplitbetweenaonetimespecialassessment andapermanentincreaseingeneraldues. Otherquestionsaskedaboutsnowremovalforthesidewalkalong21stStreet andeventsforNationalNightOut.Inbothcases,75%feltourresourceswere neededelsewhere. Wearepleasedtoannouncethatthatweareindeedworkingwithafive memberboard.StacyWoodson,amemberfromCovingtonCircle,accepted anominationattheallmembermeeting,asdidthefourcurrentboard membersservingin2011. AttheJanuaryboardmeetingtheboardmemberswereassignedtoserve thefiveofficerpositions.StacyassumedthedutiesofMemberatLarge. LynnPackerwillserveonefinalyearaspresident.NathanBrownellwillonce againserveasvicepresident.JoeRongishhasservedasthetreasurersince 2009,andwillcontinuetodosoin2012.CrystalGideon,whowasappointed totheboardinJune2011tofillavacancy,willserveastheSecretary.
