(4) Your Coursework Assignment The Brief - please read carefully!

Create a RS 2012 model representing either a real or an imaginary structure, try and use realistic dimensions and member sizes. Your model must be entirely your own work and be created specifically for this assignment. Model just the structure (no architecture or building services). Represent your structure on no more than three professionally presented and fully annotated drawing sheets: You will be assessed equally on: Your modelling skills (as seen through your drawings) Your documentation skills (as evidenced by the choice, composition and presentation of the drawings ).

THREE Revit Drawing Sheets

Either A4 sheets or A3 sheets folded to A4, these must each be fully annotated by computer. Ensure that you also include the following identification information: CIVE3707 CADLAB#3 Your name The date of your CADLAB You should including examples of general arrangement plans, elevations and sections plus details. Consider readability and scale. Provided you convey sufficient information to allow your modelling skills to be assessed, there is no need to provide a full set of (repetitive) views. 3D views can be included but do ensure that they add value (you have limited drawing space and your drawings must be readable). Please ensure that you save and retain the (as submitted) RVT files on your M: drive.

OPTIONAL Additional Sheets

If you have explored the RS Analysis Model you may include: ONE additional annotated A4 or folded A3 sheet to illustrate this. If you succeed in transferring your analysis model to Robot you may also submit: ONE additional annotated A4 or folded A3 sheets evidencing this, plus FURTHER additional sheets (not too many) if you also successfully performed a structural analysis. Any additional sheets should where possible include the required identification information. They may be either formal [an annotated RS drawing or some formal Robot output] or informal [annotated material you have created by incorporating windows screen snips into a Word document or Power Point slide(s)]. Your submission should put together tidily and in sequence then stapled securely to the back of a neatly completed and signed coursework submission sheet. Your submission will not be returned, please print a second copy if you wish to retain it. Click here if you need additional guidance on Revit Drawings and Printing.
