How do I confirm my email address?

If you know your card is valid but your payment still doesnt go through, we suggest that you try another credit card or try your transaction again later.

How do I know if an email is really from PayPal?


If you think you received a fake PayPal email or have come across a fake (spoof) PayPal website, please report it to us immediately. How to identify fake emails:

Emails from PayPal will always address you by your first and last names or by your business name. We never say things like "Dear user" or "Hello PayPal member." Our emails dont link directly to pages that ask you to enter sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, and national identification or Social Security numbers.

How do I confirm my email if I don't see any hyperlinks?


Some email programs do not support hyperlinks. If you do not see any hyperlinks in an email, you can copy and paste the entire confirmation URL from the email into your browser and enter your password. Or, you can confirm your email address by logging in to your PayPal account and following a few steps.

What are the fees for PayPal accounts?

Sending money Personal payments: It's free within the U.S. to send money to family and friends when you use only your PayPal balance or bank account, or a combination of their PayPal balance and bank account. There is a fee to send money as a personal payment using a debit card or credit card. The fee in the U.S. is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you send. One of the easiest ways to calculate PayPal fees paid for the year is to input your fee deductions into Microsoft Excel by following these steps: 1. Can I have multiple PayPal accounts?


Yes. You can have one Personal account and one Premier or Business account. What information is required to open a Personal PayPal account?


To open a personal PayPal account, you'll need to provide your name, address, phone number, and email address. Merchants must seek prior approval if they intend to use PayPal to sell stocks, bonds, securities, options, futures, or investment interest in an entity or property, including (but not limited to) corporations, partnerships, and non-development property. PayPal requires approval to ensure the safety of PayPal users and compliance with the regulatory and licensing requirements that apply to this industry. What is PayPals policy on transactions that involve sexually oriented goods and services?
Physical Goods PayPal allows U.S. only transactions for certain sexually oriented physical goods, such as videos, DVDs, magazines, or other products physically delivered to the customer. What is PayPals policy on transactions that involve firearms?


PayPal prohibits all account holders from buying or selling any type of firearm and certain firearm parts and ammunition. Firearms Include all rifles, shotguns, and handguns, whether they are intended for use in sporting, as collectibles, or as curio and relic firearms. These items are prohibited regardless of their present working order.

Firearm parts - Include, but are not limited to, receivers and frames, silencers, kits designed to convert a firearm to automatic firing capability, high capacity magazines, multi-burst trigger activators, and camouflaging firearm containers.

Ammunition - Includes ammunition with propellant, such as gunpowder or blank ammunition. Ammunition is defined as ammunition or cartridge cases, primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for any firearm.

For other hand weapons, sellers must ensure the weapon is lawful in both the buyer's and seller's jurisdiction before completing the sale. Knives PayPal generally prohibits transactions for switchblade knives and disguised knives. A switchblade is any knife resembling a pocketknife with a blade that can be released automatically or by use of a trigger. Other names for switchblades include spring-blade knives, snap-blade knives, gravity knives, and butterfly knives. A disguised knife is a knife designed to look like a harmless item. Examples of disguised knives include belt buckle knives, cane swords, shobi-zue, lipstick case knives, air gauge knives, and writing pen knives. What gambling activities does PayPal prohibit?


PayPal prohibits transactions for gambling activities by merchants and account holders in the U.S. and any jurisdiction where gambling activities are illegal, and by merchants whose services are accessible to account holders in the U.S. PayPal allows approved gambling merchants to use our service in certain jurisdictions where gambling activities are legal. To be approved by PayPal, merchants must demonstrate to PayPal's satisfaction that they have the ability to block gambling activities for account holders in the U.S. and any jurisdiction where gambling activities may be illegal.

Unless the merchant has been approved by PayPal, account holders may not use PayPal to send or receive payments for any form of gambling activities, including but not limited to payments for wagers, gambling debts, and gambling winnings, whether conducted online, in person, or through any other means of communication. Use PayPal to complete your payment. Pay for the item with one payment. Items purchased with multiple payments aren't eligible. Let the seller know there's a problem with the transaction by opening a dispute in the Resolution Center within 45 days of making your payment. If you use an eCheck, the entire amount of the payment will be taken from your bank account while your PayPal account balance will remain for future use. If you do not have a PayPal account, you must enter a valid credit card to complete your payment. Note: You may have the option to pay for your entire purchase using eCheck or PayPal Credit.

When I make an eCheck payment, when will the money be debited from my bank account?
PayPal sends the request to your bank as soon as you make the payment. Just like a regular check, it can take up to 5 business days for the payment to clear and the money to be deposited into the recipients PayPal account. A bank may decline an eCheck payment. For example, a payment will be denied if you dont have enough money in your bank account. If this happens, the payment can be delayed up to 7 more business days. Payments are sent to you using your email address. If a payment has already been sent to you, you should have received an email notification letting you know that you've received a payment.

If you have a PayPal account, log in to your account and click History at the top of the page to view the details of your payment. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can quickly sign up for one and confirm your email address to receive the payment. As soon as you receive the payment, it goes into your PayPal balance. When you have a PayPal balance, you can either use those funds to send a payment or you can withdraw the funds. Log in to your account and click Withdraw to view your withdraw options.
