Electrophoresis. Mini project Project title : Effect of antibiotics on Staphylococcus aureus causing Mastitis Using milk substrate. Organization: Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur. Objective : The Staphylococcus aureus was optimized and sub cultured at flask level and 3L Fermentor level to have higher concentration of organism for experimental work. Different components of milk were extracted and the growths of the microbes were checked in the absence of these components and the effect of antibiotics was found. It was found that 1mg/ml penicillin was the least concentration which can inhibit the growth completely. Responsibilities Undertaken: Culture handling Culture maintenance Strain development Aseptic handling of fermentation at Lab scale.
