You must follow these instructions to be considered for need-based grants, and other available aid. Be sure to observe the priority deadlines indicated. If you are awarded a need-based grant, you will receive a revised award

letter; otherwise, your original award letter will serve as your only award notice.
Required for all applicants: By February 01, complete and submit a 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); list Howard Universitys Federal Code #001448, as a recipient of your data. The FAFSA will be used to determine eligibility for federal loans. By March 15, complete this Howard University School of Law 2011-2012 Financial Aid Application to be considered for a needbased grant and return it to the Law Schools Financial Aid Office. Newly admitted students to the 2011-2012 academic year should submit this application immediately after being admitted, only. By April 15, submit your private loan application to the Law Schools Financial Aid Office. Students must apply for a Grad Plus or private loan to be eligible for the Howard University School of Law need-based grant. Federal Direct Loans will be processed electronically by the University. Newly admitted students to the 2011-2012 academic year should submit their private loan applications immediately after being admitted.
