Quantum Humans, beginning in the later 20th century according to their calendars and continuing through the 21st

century, feared that a day would come that thei r creation, the miracle of technology, more specifically, computers, would somed ay grow sentient of its slavery to humankind and attempt to establish new order. The humans, however, never suspected that their creators held the same fear. >>initializing... >>play*human_5480192>september>21 >>dir logs>year.7237504092>earth >>connected >>...loading... >>connect module.12.5.a mem.audiocomm Date: September 21, 2023 A.D. Something disappea rs, someone knows something that they should never be able to know, another pers on reacts to something that hasnt happened yet... The inexplicable, the supernatu ral, the illogical. In quantum mechanics, these things are normal. An object can have two opposing states simultaneously; two seemingly separate objects can beh ave identically, though there is nothing that ties them together. These effects baffle us even today, but just like the first caveman who u sed the mysterious substance known as fire, we are able to harness them to our a dvantage and learn something about them. Different theories have been created ov er the years to explain these implausibilities in the world of the microscopic, but never have the illogicalities been explained in the macroscopic. Rose, if Dan and I could figure out what drives these abnormalities in th e macroscopic, the repercussions would be prodigious. Unfortunately, it means th at were going to have to move to new research laboratories near Caltech. I know t hat weve lived in Centreville for 10 years, but Im sorry. Caltech offered us both tenures and free reign of the physics department, and this is the opportunity of a lifetime. The field of Quantum Mechanics is a rapidly expanding one, Rose. Location: Q.Tech Enterprise Headquarters, Silicon Valley, California Subject Alias: Mike Willings Welcome, esteemed guests, to the Quantum Tech Enterprise Convention, but more importantly, and I say this with confidence, welcome, esteemed guest, to a new era of human achievement. I assure you that today will be marked as the day that the world changed. Computers revolutionized the world when they were first introduced in the late 20th century. Communications were vastly improved; the whole world became connected through a social network. No field of science was untouched; every sin gle discipline of scientific research was advanced significantly by the advent o f computers. The spacial frontier was open to humankind; without computers we wo uld have never been able to land on the moon, much less glimpse images of our un iverse through the Hubble telescope. Computers, while revolutionary and useful, were always limited in one asp ect: power. Always, computer scientists have to make the tough choice between fu nctionality and speed. A standard computer bit can only exist in two states; 1 o r 0. It seemed, to the 20th century computer scientist, that computers processing powers had hit a roadblock. In the 21st century, however, a new and promising t heoretical technology began to be studied: Quantum Computing. I realize that many of you know the basics of this technology, so I will not bore you with the mundane details. In short, Quantum qubits can exist in eithe r state, 1 or 0, but when left unobserved, they take on both states and neither of the states, in something known as a superposition. This property allows a qubi t to perform millions of operations at a single point in time, while a normal bit would only be capable of performing one. Many skeptics did not believe this technology would ever be a viable opti on, but I stand before you now to prove the impossible is quite possible. The sm
