Forma interrogativa: AUX + SUJETO + VERBO + + ? El verbo se encuentra en su forma original, es decir, sin s, sin ed o normal si es irregular.

Forma negativa: SUJETO + AUX + NOT + VERBO + El verbo se encuentra en su forma original, es decir, sin s, sin ed o normal si es irregular.

Ejemplos: 1.- They live near. Interrogative: Do they live near? Negative: They do not (dont) live near. 2.- She plays drums. Interrogative: Does she play drums? TIENEN SIGNIFICADO PROPIO EN TANTO SEAN AUXILIARES. SE UTILIZAN EN LA FORMA INTERROGATIVA Y NEGATIVA DE LA ORACIN.

Son auxiliares por si solos. El primer verbo de la estructura verbal es el que se utiliza como auxiliar. LLevan la negacin segn corresponda.

To be => slo es auxiliar en las formas: am is are was were have => Slo es auxiliar en las formas: have has had con el significado de haber en las formas verbales compuestas. modales => todos son auxiliares.
