TRKI Social Research Institute

TRKI has 27 years of experience in empirical social science research in Hungary. Its research activities focus on a wide range of issues including social stratification, labour markets, income distribution, consumption and lifestyle patterns and attitudes; increasingly it has focused on market research applications. While TRKI has carried out a wide range of activities for its clients, social research remains the most important part of its work. TRKI is a member of various international research networks and consortia, for more details see next page. TRKI carries out biennially the TRKI Household Monitor Survey and produces annual reports on European income distribution trends within the framework of the Social Situation Observatory Network on Social Inclusion and Income Distribution. In 2008 TRKI published the first of a series of European Social Reports that analyse demographic, labour market and income distribution trends in all 27 EU Member States using data from EUSILC.
