FUNERAL
Weve gathered here today to pay tribute to Billie Joyce George. To honor her life and mourn her death. Yet at the same time celebrate her being with God in heaven based on decisions he/she made. To stand with family members during their grief. We know how hard it is to lose someone close. We as your extended family choose to stand with you during this time. Even though death causes grief, many times it allows family and friends to come together and reflect back on Joys life and the good memories of her; to share the good and best times. And, we are going to do that today. To find truth and hope from Gods Word, to those who believe in Jesus Christ. It is a time for those of you who know Joy, to say goodbye. This is a safe place. It is okay to cry and be sad and get in touch with emotions that you are feeling for someone you will miss very much. On behalf of Joys family, thank you for taking time to show your support. Your physical presence here today is very appreciated. Lets pray: Invite Your Presence to fill this place, as we come together. Thank you for the memories we have of her Thank you for the family she has left behind. Now, bring Your peace and release Your comfort on those who mourn the loss of JOY.. Amen SONG IN THE GARDEN

Short talk It is time to remember JOY at her best. In a few minutes there will be an opportunity for some of you to share your favorite thoughts or memories of JOY

During JOYs time on earth, she ultimately made the biggest decision she could have ever made! She fell in love with God and she got it right with God by asking (Jesus Christ) into her heart. Now, none of us are perfect and never will be. JOY wasnt perfect. We mess up from time to time with the best of them. The Bible says, that there is not a righteous man (or woman) on earth who does what is right and never sins. Thank goodness, heaven (and our going there) is not based on works.

EPH 2: 8-9 Because of his kindness, you have been saved through trusting Christ. And even trusting is not of yourselves; it too is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it. JOY is in heaven, not because she was perfect, not because of her good works - - but because she placed her trust in Jesus! TODAY WE GET TO REMEMBER THOSE WONDERFUL MOMENTS OF JOY. AND I FEEL THAT IS HOW GOD THE FATHER HAS VIEWED HER IN HER LIFE. THAT ULTIMATLY SHE WAS GODS CHILD, BUT FOR US WE ALSO NEED A LITTLE COMFORTING

Jesus comforts his disciples in the book of John when he says,

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Fathers house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. But, Thomas said to him, Lord, we dont know where you are going, so how can we know the way? Jesus answered, I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except thru me.

GRAVESITE Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, Fear not, I will help you. In the Psalms, it says: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Be still and know that I am God. You have the right to miss _______________. Missing him/her wont end with todays service. I would encourage you to let your emotions out and not stuff them inside. The pain that you feel --- God will take! God is for you and He loves you; He loved_______________. God never forsakes us.

VICTORY OVER TRIBULATIONS God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble: (Psalm 46:1).

He said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior . . . (II Samuel 22:2, 3). What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?

WORDS OF COMMITTAL Now we commit to the ground the body of our beloved friend _ Billie Joyce George _and present to Gods mercy and gracious care her spirit. May we rededicate ourselves to God, and obtain grace for all that is to come, until the day break, and these shadows flee away.

When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God. . . (Isaiah 43:2, 3a).

JOY is freed at last from all the tensions, confusions and limitations of this mortal life, we pray that all aspirations and prayers of our beloved may be multiplied and that all of the wishes of our departed one

--- may come to pass in glorious fulfillment for all the loved ones left behind and for the benefits of Gods children everywhere.

Here we commit the body to its kindred dust. The spirit we leave with God. May the living take it to heart. As we know that God will bring us everyone to the grave, let us here dedicate ourselves to do with our might what the hands find to do. May our trust be in Him who said, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die! Lords Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. - - Amen.
