(b) Find the root of the equation xex -cosx=0 correct to three decimal places by

(b) Solve ∇2 u = 0 (the two dimensional heat conduction equation in steady-state)
at the interior lattice points, given boundary values as follows. As shown in

3. (a) Find the equation of a parabola of form y=ax2 +b for the data using method
of least squares:
