Seismic Refraction Analysis with SeisImager/2D

PickWin95 (Picking first arrival) PlotRefa(Seismic refraction analysis)
<<Introduction>>
SeisImager/2D is the two-dimensional seismic refraction analysis software. It consits of two-software, named PickWin95 and PlotRefa. PickWin95 is a software for picking first arrival. Plotrefa is a software for seismic refraction analysis. Following analysis approach can be used in the PlotRefa. 1:Time-term method If the velocity model is a simple horizontal two-layer model, you can use the time-term method. The timeterm method is a simple linear least square method for two-layer velocity model 2:Reciprocal method (Hagiwaras method) If the number of layers is larger than three, you can use reciprocal method. Sometimes, it is called GRM, or Hagiwaras method. 3:Tomographic analysis The tomographic analysis can image velocity model almost automatically. It can handle surface data as well as the data obtained from sources and receivers in boreholes or tunnels.
