PRESENT SITUATION DRIVING THE RESEARCHER TO CHOOSE THE TOPIC At a time when lakhs of people crowd for a 1 lakh car, who would expect Indians to buy two wheeler bikes at over 10 lakhs? But positive signs have their own way of speaking. With some performance oriented launches from almost all manufacturers in India, its evident that they sensed the craving for going fast on big bikes among Indians is growing big time. As the Indian government eased norms for launching bikes bigger than 800cc in India foreign manufacturers have been going full swing with launching some of the internationally acclaimed

2.1 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Create awareness and expectation about the product. 2.2 TYPE OF RESEARCH The type of research used for is Descriptive Research. The name itself reveals that, it is essentially a research to describe something. Descriptive research can be either quantitative or qualitative. It can involve collections of quantitative information that can be tabulated along a continuum in numerical form, such as scores on a test or the number of times a person chooses to use a-certain feature of a multimedia program, or it can describe categories of information such as gender or patterns of interaction when using technology in a group situation. 2.3 SAMPLING TECHNIQUE Sample Unit Respondent from Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu answered the survey through online survey. Sample Size Since time period for the project is limited only 70 people were interviewed. This is actually a small size sample. Sample Technique Convenient sampling has been used.

2.4 ACTUAL COLLECTION OF DATA The area selected for the research was Coimbatore a district in Tamil Nadu. The link for online survey was posted to collect the data from the sample respondents. 2.5 TOOLS USED FOR ANALYSIS: One of the statistical tools used for the survey is Ordinal scale. This particular scale was used to find the consumers ranking of the brand. 2.6 SCOPE OF THE STUDY The study has covered consumer preference only in Coimbatore. Coimbatore is a tier 2 city in Tamil Nadu .The information can be used by the domestic player to develop a competitive advantage over the global players. This sector has a vast scope in Indian market. 2.7 OBJECTIVE

From this study, we are going to find the customers expectation on superbike in Coimbatore .The study is carried out by conducting an online survey. 2.8 LIMITATIONS Some of the Limitations that affect the report are, Time constraint : Time was limited. Hence large amount of people couldnt be surveyed which would have increased the accuracy of the project. 28 Respondents answer may be right or wrong: Respondents answer may be right or wrong depends on the individuals expectation. Sample size: The same size of the project was only 70. Inability to generalize the conclusion: Due to the above reason, we cannot be certain about the results we have obtained.
