As part its annual events and occasional programmes, Jagruthi has organized many events as following.. We have organized several developing programs to promote public awareness, physician education and patient advocacy for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The Foundation will engage the Society physician and other healthcare professional members in a crusade to educate patients about heart disease, beginning with sudden cardiac death, which kills. The objective of this program is to improve the care of patients by promoting research, education and optimal health care policies and standards. Science Fare: Jagruthi has conducted science fare programme in Nakrekal and Gowraram Mandal. In that event students from 50 high schools have and 20 colleges has participated and demonstrated many experiments. Some interesting exhibits at the science fair attracted students from various schools in thousands. The MLC Nethi Vidya Sagar said teachers should strive hard to bring out hidden talent among children studying in rural areas. He wanted science teachers to participate in large numbers in the committees to oversee the preparations. Zilla Parishad chairperson Kasireddy Narayana Reddy and Munugode MLA Palla Venkat Reddy also took part in the inaugural function. The response for the fair is overwhelming. It can help create scientific temper among children across the district," Agricultural Our Organization has conducted programmer for using latest technology for agriculture The global initiative to enhance sustainable agricultural development and food security by improving the use of information, communication, and associated technologies in the sector.

Agriculture is an emerging field focusing on the enhancement of agricultural and rural development through improved information and communication processes.More specifically, agriculture involves the conceptualization, design, development, evaluation and application of innovative ways to use information and communication technologies (ICT) in the rural domain, with a primary focus on agriculture. Agriculture is a relatively new term and we fully expect its scope to change and evolve as our understanding of the area grows. Application of different IT tools has brought in a revolution in agriculture. Agricultural professionals need to use IT developments for effective use and management of information and data, and for planning and decision-making. Keeping this in view, a three-week refresher Course on Information Technology in Agriculture was organized from February 3 to 23, 2008, to empower scientists and teachers with the knowledge and skills in the use of internet and other information technologies and to make them aware of the emerging IT-based agriculture. Environmental Education: Jagruthi organizes the environmental awareness programmes at very regular intervals for the benefit of school children. It was the Nodal Agency for Nalgonda district for the year long Green India Campaigning. Emergency Ambulance Services: The Jagruthi organizes training programmes on regular basis for people on Emergency Ambulance Services in rural areas of Nalgonda and Nakrekal .regarding the services, particularly in emergency situations, by pregnant women, neonates, parents of neonates, infants and children (in situations of serious ill-health condition), and any other health emergencies in the general population; and thereby help the state to achieve the critical Millennium Development Goals in the health sector, i.e., reduction of Infant Mortality Rate, and Maternal Mortality Ratio, and in general improve the health-confidence in the people through improving their ability to access healthcare service in case of emergencies. Emergency Service not only provided health but also police and fire services. The Jagruthi has given training on calling the 108 no on any communication service and how to provide the details for that situation and recommended not to miss use the service for unwanted things. This service will rush accident victims to the nearest hospital first and if necessary take them to headquarters hospital within no time at free of cost.

Water and Sanitation: Jagruthi has visited many rural areas in Nalgonda and Nakrekal to educate people on to keep environment clean. The association has given some tips to reduce the florine content in the water especially in the rural areas of Nalgonda District. It has Conducted a camp with the help of doctors to educate them on the basics precaution to be followed while drinking water. Doctors has given treatment for the people who has already affected with that disease .Doctors has given demos on the symptoms of the disease and how to avoid it. Blood Camp: Jagruthi conducts blood camp once in four months in selected areas all over Andhra Pradesh for donating the blood who are in need. Jagruthi creats awareness among people about the benefits of donating the blood and also provides fruits and juices for the donors for the energy. In these camp the enthusiasm of the female donors was very encouraging, as large number of female donors turned up. Our intention is not only to donate blood but also sensitize people on blood grouping and donation at the rural level, so that more and more people could be prepared as blood donors. It will also support our concept of Help at Neighborhood. Since human blood is found with presence of human beings, so making availability of blood by motivating people is our concern. Anti Ragging: Anti Ragging is one of the important awareness educations for Engineering Students. Jagruthi has conducted a programme for engineering students and explained the rules passed by the government for committing the ragging. Ragging is a crime and the person who commits the raging will be punished severally and with penalty. In medical and engineering colleges, students often face different types of college ragging situations. Most of the time senior students do this kind of activities only for the sake of fun. But, the students who are being ragged often oppose their seniors and become the victim of immense torture and humiliation. Though ragging has ruined the lives of many, resistance against it has grown up only recently. Several Indian states have made legislatures banning ragging, and the Indian Supreme Court has taken a strong stand to curb ragging. Ragging has been declared a "criminal offence". No smoking awareness in youth: Jagruthi has conducted an awarness program on 23rd April 2008. The association has conducted rally with a war cry with saying Smoking is Injurious to health. In the awarness programme the association has explained the health problems caused by smoking.

Today major people are suffering from lung cancer due to smoking. The life time span of the people has reduced from 60 to 50 due to smoking. The association has announced that the camp is not only for youth but also for the people who smokes daily. Government has announced that smoking is a crime and the persons who smoke in the public areas will be punished with penalty and will be prisoned to jail. Accidents and deaths on National Highway NO 9: Now a days the traffic has become a major problem for the people not only in cities and also in National Highways. Today the major accidents are occurred on National Highway Which leads to death of many people. Jagruthi has analysed the accidents occurred in National Highway. and came to conclusion that the National Highway should be in broad way so that the accidents can be reduced.Jagruthi has conducted a programme for all the people to take precautions while traveling on the highways. Self Employment: Jagruthi strives for generation of employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the country through setting up of new self-employment ventures/projects/micro enterprises using the innovative science and technology methods. Through this we aim to achieve the widely dispersed traditional artisans/ rural and urban unemployed youth and give them self-employment opportunities to the extent possible, at their place, to provide continuous and sustainable employment to a large segment of traditional and prospective artisans and rural and urban unemployed youth in the country, so as to help arrest migration of rural youth to urban areas, and to increase the wage earning capacity of artisans and contribute to increase in the growth rate of rural and urban employment. Jagruthi has been conducting regular entrepreneurship development camps for the benefit of backward classes. Population Growth: It is the educational process in which a basic awareness about population problems and favourable attitudes towards a small family size are developed. The teacher educators, the teachers who are already in the schools and the future teachers need to be oriented to the population problem that the country is facing today and which is likely to become even more critical within next few decades. The student teachers are the pivots of social structure, so it becomes utmost important to analyse their level of awareness first. Further it is generally accepted that the students with science background are better aware regarding the population explosion problems as compared to the students with arts background. Hence the need to study the difference in the level of awareness regarding population problem between the science and arts student teachers.

The relationship between population growth, poverty and environmental degradation is complex and not really, as is often posited, a simple equation of 'high population plus poverty equals environmental degradation'. Anti Corruption Money to Heart Patients Children: Jagruthi has presented some promos to help heart patients by anticorruption and called as helping hands in which the country will develop. Programme engages youth through several activities, including debates, street theatre, poster and sticker campaigns, and cartoons. TI Bangladesh has also used music to spread the anti-corruption message among young people. Fighting corruption has emerged as a key development issue in India in recent years. More and more policymakers, businesses, and civil society organizations, have begun to confront the issue openly. At the same time the general level of understanding about corruption has risen markedly. Until recently, it was not uncommon to hear someone discuss anti-corruption strictly in law enforcement terms. By contrast, most people working in the field today acknowledge that public education and prevention are equally important. The field has also come to appreciate how critical the role of civil society is for effective and sustained reform. 208. JUSTIFICATION FOR UNDERTAKING THE PROPOSED PROJECT Storytelling is changing drastically and the media has a range of new methods to measure reactions and feedback from the public. Together, these changes have the potential to improve the quality of all forms of journalism. Blogs are evolving into a powerful medium. The biggest advantage of blogging is that it can renew journalism by bringing in new voices, ideas and concepts Both print and digital journalists are yet to discover the power that the effective use of search engines may unleash. The World Wide Web has valuable sources of information that are never used by the media. Many citizens are experts in various fields and would love to take part in public debate. Journalists researching for news stories can find new and authentic sources on the Net, especially in the blogosphere. The web as a potential and reliable source of information has drastically changed the way journalists think and work. The journalistic work process is updated and revolutionised by the digital media. Storytelling is changing drastically and the media has a range of new methods to measure reactions and feedback from the public. Together, these changes have the potential to improve the quality of all forms of journalism.

Constant evaluation Thanks to the Internet, journalists may find and verify their stories easily at work. The readers are constantly evaluating the stories published in the digital media and are adding more information or pointing out mistakes or improvements. The most important change, however, is from bloggers and citizen journalists who share information and knowledge. They update news and information instantly, for example, through Twitter, a micro-blogging service. After the story has been published, journalists look for the number of hits their story has got to see how popular it is with readers. By reacting to mistakes or inaccuracies, readers help to make news stories read better and better. Such is the potential of digital journalism. Blogs are evolving into a powerful medium and in countries such as Iran and Syria, they are the only reliable source of information. But even in India and in Europe, blogs are supplementing the established news media. Today, it is not very uncommon to see bloggers becoming journalists or newspapers inviting bloggers to write columns. This trend is precisely due to the immense popularity of some of the bloggers. The biggest advantage of blogging is that it can renew journalism by bringing in new voices, ideas and concepts. Internet gives journalists access to citizen voices that are new and fresh, and therefore has a democratising effect,For the development of society, science communication plays a very important role. Science education to masses is a very important aspect in social welfare and science communication can play a vital role to fulfill this. Today science communication has been accepted as a full fledged branch of science curriculum. Scientific knowledge is still confined to class rooms and laboratories mainly because of language and communication problems. The two main objectives of science communication are to impart scientific informations among masses and inculcate scientific temper among them. In this context, JAGRUTHIYOUTH ASSOCIATION, A popular voluntary Organization in the state of Andhra Pradesh, involved in the field of science and technology communication for social development for the past five years, envisages to conduct five workshops on popular science communication through Digital Media at different places in Andhra Pradesh. These workshops will be held during 2012-13 at Guntur, Ongole, Nellore,

Thirupathi, Rajhamandri, Vijaya Nagaram. These selected areas are well surrounded by many science and technology centers and R&D Organizations. It is planned as a rendezvous of young science graduates interested in digital and visual science communications, existing armature science communicators, experts from digital and visual media, and editors of other media and Personnel from NCSTC as well as experienced scientists. 50 members will be trained through each workshop and each workshop will be held for five days. This effort is expected to develop some young science graduates and journalists to develop skills in science communications in Digital Media, encourage people with creative spirit in digital and Electronics media to enhance their skills towards science communication and orientation towards popular science; and encouraging scientists to develop scripts in popular science and present through Digital media.
