Write up on JLT & JLT India JLT is an associate of the Jardine Matheson Group (Fortune 300 with over

300,000 employees worldwide) and an international group of Risk Specialists and Employee Benefits Consultants. It is one of the largest companies of its type in the world and offers a distinctive choice to its clients and partners through a combination of independence, scale and specialism. JLT has its origins in 1836 with the formation of Canton Insurance Co in Hong Kong and over the last 175 years, guided its clients with a security and stability that has enabled them to focus on growing their businesses. Today, the JLT Group is a FTSE150 company. JLT India was setup in May 2007 as the Global Shared Services Centre for the JLT Group, offering access to local talent and expertise in order to improve cost and operational efficiency. Since its launch, JLT India has grown rapidly and represents approximately 10% of the Group's employees supporting both Employee Benefits and Risk & Insurance operations of the Group.
