In general, out of 30 students in a class for example, there is for sure that 70% of the students are from

female and the rest are male, even sometime there is none of them. In a cynical tone and naughty of some female in a class will answer that male is more focus in rehabilitation centers. Is that is really the answer? Maybe there is some truth of that because the majority of them are really in there. Actually there are more than that. Male learning method is actually more to hands on and not always reading and answers a paper. Since school, they have been teach to study for their exam while read and memorize does not really suite them. Then, after 4 years in university, in many cases, what they have been learning does not help any of their choice and in their carrier development. Therefore, more and more male will find other way that is continuing their study in other institute such as industrial training institute (ILP), polytechnic and many others. It is supported by facts that the numbers of male student who are following vocational and technical in polytechnic in there represent 60% of them. In aware of this situation, the government has introduced a lot of institutions like this to meet the needs of male students. This is certainly far difference to female because they are more tend to reading and memorize all the facts and theories that contain in books. The real facts nowadays this method would not help students to apply what have they study to their job. There is true that male not like to just sit and do nothing for example, reading. If we say examination in IPT is conduct in physical way and not writing, we are sure that a lot of male students will graduate with successful. When the issue of lack of male students in public higher education institutions (IPTA) was raised once again by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education Sultan Idris (UPSI), Assoc. Dr. Aminah Ayob widening gap was already expected because over the last five years (since 2003), the dominance of female students in universities are already significant. This phenomena need to be addressed by finding other factors that contributed to this phenomena. From past to nowadays, there is no doubt that female are more systematic and diligent in making something. This is maybe their natural dispositions that have been granted while male, not many are like that. Consciously or not, our national education system more celebrates those who work hard or in other words, neat to memorize, parsing, etc which is in female side and indirectly close male opportunity to show their performance. According to Dr. Aminah Ayob, the ministry of education has to change the learning technique to more empowering students to study and think.

We do not have to depend on the shape of the examination system but change it from memorize techniques to sharpen the mind and thought. ''If the lack of male students in IPTA is not addressed, there will be huge imbalances that lead to participation by them in professional fields does not stand out, "she said. Not only because male are more in technical and vocational studies that lead to least in public higher education institution, as we know, Admission to universities is determined by
academic qualifications. Academic results for male normally not as satisfied as female students; this is related to our national education system which more emphasize with examination results. As we mention above, female students are more hard in memorize, reading and study more than male students, so there is no surprise that examination results for female are better than male students. Therefore, in public examination results such as Certificate of Education Malaysia (SPM) or Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) is brighter among female students. Therefore, with good results, they easily get enter higher education institution compared to male students with unsatisfied examination results.
