LABORATORY RESULTS OR FINDINGS >>Hematology 01/19/12 LABORATORY TEST WBC Count

RESULT 6.3 x10^9/L

NORMAL VALUE 4.5-11.00x10^ 9/L 0.40-0.65

INTERPRETATION NORMAL. The result was normal indicating that there is no infection and inflammation present. HIGH. Segmenters are one of the types of neutrophils found in the blood. The result was elevated indicating some kind of infection that is present in the body LOW. Lymphocytes is the white cells in blood which are our bodies defense system against viral problems and infections. The result was low indicating that the body's resistance to fight infection has been substantially lost and one may become more susceptible to certain types of infection. HIGH. This test was done to know if there is increased in parasitic infections, asthma or allergic reaction. The result was high indicating that there is infection present that is further supported by the segmenters. NORMAL. This test was ordered to be able to know if there is a chronic inflammation or infection that is present. NORMAL. This test was ordered to be able to know the patients blood oxygencarrying capacity. Since the result was normal, it indicates that there is adequate number

of red blood cells as measured per liter of blood NORMAL. This test was ordered to check for the patients oxygen capacity. And whether the oxygen is properly delivered to the different parts of the body. NORMAL. This test was ordered to be able to know the proportion of blood occupied by RBC. NORMAL This test is performed for routine health screenings or if a disease or toxicity is suspected. It may be used to determine if a medical condition is improving or worsening. It is used to evaluate bleeding disorders. NORMAL. This test was ordered to know the average size of the erythrocytes. NORMAL. This test was done to know the weight of the Hg in an average RBC. NORMAL. The test was done to know the concentration of the Hb. This test also helps distinguish normally colored RBCs from paler RBCs.

>>Urinalysis 01/19/12 Macroscopic Color: yellow Transparency: slightly turbid Glucose:++++ (110 mmol/L) Bilirubin: negative Ketone: negative Blood: negative Specific Gravity: 1.010 pH: 7.0

Normally, glucose in the urine ranges 0 - 0.8 mmol/l (0 - 15 mg/dL). The result showed 110 mmol/l which may possibly indicate diabetes. However, it may also be because of acute stress, the medications that the patent is taking and excessive food intake.
