ASSIGNMENT 3: Project Presentation

Date Due: Week 12 Submission Mode: Oral classroom presentation and display Percentage Weighting: This assignment contributes 10% to the final course result Outline: You will present a 5-minute class presentation review on your outputs from Assignment 1 and 2. You will discuss a brief overview of the pre-production, production and postproduction stages followed by a screening of your short film. A PowerPoint ONLY display is essential. You will discuss the success, failure (if applicable), content, and description of the production process within the presentations required time limit. Assessment Criteria: Your presentation will successfully communicate the ideas, methodologies, production and outcomes of your project to your classroom peers. You will be assessed individually on the basis of:

Late Submission Late submission will incur a 5% reduction of marks per business day including public holidays and semester breaks unless you have special consideration granted. Attendance and Information Intake You are required to attend all the scheduled lectures and take notes on the presentation in class, read and refer to the lecture notes where applicable, and watch and take notes about the movie screening following the presentation(s). In addition to this you are strongly advised to engage with the recommended reading list located in the course guide for additional information where appropriate. Lecture Format Each class will combine watching videos, practical demonstrations, software and equipment focus, note taking, general discussions, activities and tasks. Grievances If you are unclear or do not understand the assignments and or course content please ask me in class or email me at shaun.wilson@rmit.edu.au and I will do my best to provide a concise and helpful response. If you are in dispute about your assignment result you can ask for the assignment to be resubmitted to an external examiner for review. This process requires you to formally email me as the Video 1 course coordinator and request for resubmission. The process may take several weeks and there is no guarantee that your amended grade will be higher. Feedback Each assignment will receive a feedback sheet outlining a breakdown, grades, and numerical results of the assessment, and a written comment sections. Please be patient in receiving this document within semester weeks.
