HVAC system for PGC-1

PGC-1 MCC module is located on GTML deck of PPA platform. The MCC module contains the power and control equipments for Process Gas Compressor (PGC) number 1. This MCC module is supplied with HVAC system with 100 % redundancy. PGC-1 HVAC unit-1 and PGC-1 HVAC unit -2 are installed on top of PGC-1 MCC module. HVAC for PGC-1 was installed and commissioned in 1997 and these units are exposed to marine environment. These units are designed for Zone 2 hazardous area classification. These units use R22 (non eco-friendly gas) as a refrigerant. 1.1.1 Scope

The existing single units are to be replaced with two independent but redundant highly reliable and reputed HVAC units. The specifications of proposed unit shall be same as existing unit. The dimensions and weight of new units shall be same as existing units Contractor shall supply ancillary equipment like control panel, instrumentation, condenser etc. The selection of equipment and instruments shall be as per hazardous area classification and compliant with COMPANYs policy for Ex equipment. Contractor shall use eco friendly refrigerant for new units. Electrical Power shall be supplied from existing power distribution system, however CONTRACTOR shall ensure power adequacy for the new units during design process. Contractor shall be responsible for decommissioning of existing units. Contractor shall use existing electrical and instrumentation cables , junction boxes as much as possible. Contractor shall ensure proper water proofing is done and tested after installation of new units. Contractor shall provide temporary HVAC/Air Conditioning arrangement during decommissioning and commissioning ( Split air conditioner). The temporary arrangement should be suitable for Hazardous area as per area classification Contractor shall ensure that new unit is functionally tested to the satisfaction of COMPANY and handed over with essential documentation. 1.1.2 Unit details:
